My brother who weighed 115kg in january is 100kg now(his goal is 80kg till 2007).He had joined VLCC.It is very safe, but beware of the 'PROGRAMME' u choose,i.e my bro went for the 15000/- programme. Those people will lure u for their 'DHINCHAK' schemes involving massage..this n that and will persuade u to go for the most expensive programmes, dont succumb to their schemes.Initially they give u a diet plan and u have to visit their clinic for regular checkups, medicines, excercises e.t.c then after 6 months u only have to follow their DIET scheme and my personal advise is follow their DIET scheme very seriously, visit their clinic once in a month after 6months of regular visits, get ur weight checked and demand a updated DIET programmes.Follow ur excercises consistently at ur home or gym.If u r overweight like my bro, concentrate more on DIET..and when substantial weight is reduced concentrate on excercises. In either cases RUN and SWIM a lot!!!

HEY 4 yrs bak i was 75 kilos for my midget like height of 5'1.5--2de m maintainin @ 54-55kilos/...
i must tell u hasnt been easy @all....requires lot of committment...pls dont gom 2 any of these centres or pills ..as u may lose wt quickly ..but ull bounce bak even sooner....
wat u require is-diet+exercise+consistency....
Admittedly its an ordeal 2 squueze in exercise when one is studyin or workin....c..u must understand tht wat is required is lifestyle change rathr thn temporay arrangement.. ...n start exercisin...2 start wid 15-20 fat walks will do..once do it consistently 4 sometime...u'll surely get hooked..n itll bcome an addictioon..try n eat as healthy n as natural as possible...
the thing is 2 bring abt a lifestyle change without gettin obssesed by it..try n incorporate exercise in subtle wayz in ur routine..like takin the stairs as far as possible..or walkin up to any distance as much as 3-4 kms.
most imporatantly tell urself its 4 ur heallth ..appearance comes last
any doubts ..ill b der..
its tough..but not impossible

My personal opinion is exercise everyday... start with mild walking and then do jogging everyday. If u know how to exercise, then its fine or else take the help of a professional trainer.
I dont believe in such pills... they usually have a side effect (my friend is a doc and he highly discourages these pills)

The pills had no side effects, and were not given in high amounts.VLCC stresses more on their diet, excercise, massage thearapy and M/C which they have at their centers. Its been 6 months and my brother hasnt got any side effects.Well,it is ur personal opinion, but as far as my bro is concerned he was really overweight(115kg for 5.8 ht) is not normal. For times like this u have to take some external help confirming that it doesnt have any side effects. Now my bro is 100kgs and he has decided to only follow the VLCC diet and excercise for further reduction of weight to 80kgs.

Dunno about the pills, but i must admit VLCC did 70% of the weight loss for him.Even if u join VLCC,u should be sincere enough to visit it regularly and follow the DIET/EXCERCISE with utmost sincerity and patience,if not, then u'll not lose a gram for the next 10yrs!
