Hi Guys ,


India is basically an agrarian country , where 60 % of the population lives in rural india , and there primary occupation is Agriculture .

What could have been done differently by us if we were farmers towards nation building ...?

Food for thought !!

Pal, why dont you start by giving some new methods.
First. get the use the maximum technolgy possible to make things easier. Secondly, get the zamindars to pay taxes so that ulimatley it helps the farmers!!

It seems you have not understood what is the title .... What you as a farmer can do towards nation building.... Please ensure that you are a farmer and write keeping that perspective in mind.. what resources you have and what you can do best out of it ...

1. the main thing that india lacks in s a healthy economy n high livn standards, n 2dy main prob agri se s facn s division of land:( - amg bros, families, relatives so as a farmer 4 my nation should keep these issues aside n workout" community sys" so as mor prof
2. risk takn- another crit. our ind loses s "lack of diversification":( ( rice- wheat always) jus bcz no1 wana take risk of exp new crops- benifits- water savn
+ve results- more prof
i will wisely experiment.........
3. export- no farmer thinks while choosn crop to imprve export of country. bt i will..
4.future india- as u kno 60% ppl in this- their chidren future - so 4 contry i wil follow - :satisfie: family planng, educatin them, n remove al social evils to let the youth fly high
5. stop changing profession n stop incling towards urban india
6.make organisations to inc awareness regrdn india n imp agri sector
7.to coperate n help govt to make policies n 2 take imp decisions
8. giv my proper taxes.
9 i wil never misuge facilities ( electricity, water) given by goi
10 keep myself open to accept new strategies
n finally.....:grab:
not losn my hopes so early n endn lives.......plzzzzzzzzzz don leave india lovely farmers, india needs you......our god feeders

Hi Guys ,

If I was the farmer of this nation ... I would to the following toward nation building process ....

1 ) Will be literate first or take the help of some one who is literate in the village to gather the information about government policies and benefits for the people PL .

2 )Take the help of NGO , Social workers or Government ....to set up school , panchayat ,dispensary ( manned by the MOST learned person of the village who will get the training regarding various emergency situation first aid , and what to do in case of epedemic....)

3 ) Setting up of cooperative society ,get rid of middle men , so that we can sell our finished goods at higher rates .... cooperative society will be use to lend loans to needy villagers...

4 ) Setting up of water reservoir , proper sanitation ... these can be achieved by the guidance of NGO and village's labor

5 ) If we don't have have electricity ....getting solar cells so that we can use TV and radio for keeping in touch with outside world , and getting the first hand information regarding weather ..... this can be done by collecting funds from village ...completely wireless

6 ) getting the topological and geographical data .. soil chemistry report from government to understand which crops will give high productivity ....

7 ) Pet couple of horse so that in case of any calamity or concerns ... some can notify the nearest tehsill or block or panchayat for help .....

8 ) Providing proper food to children ..by having a small green and white revolution within the village ...

9) Passing this information and practice to rest of the nearby villages......


All the above thing can be done by taking one small step ... getting literate or getting aware of the rights......rest will follow......

Its a very good question and the it seems that the answer is very easy but actually its not,

Before we go ahead i want to repeat the words of a famous econoist that "Indian economy is a speculation of Mansoon"
Why is it?
In India there are approx 70% consumption is accounted for Veg. food
and it means approx 70 crore people are getting their food because of those farmers!
Now if i am a farmer i would like to do it at a big area with new technology as it done in developed contries for that I will made some union of farmers of one area made a partnership and try to maximise the synergy effect with good crop.
i educate the other farmers and show them the importence and strenght of unity

If i would have been a farmer:

1.I would have educated myself first.
2.Be socially responsible.Vote for the right candiadte through awareness n analysis.
3.Learn the strategies of successfuls farmers of differnt countries what exactly worked for them.
4.Try to take a global approach n make the economy grow (individual effort), n make fellow farmers aware (collective effort).

And I am sure that these standards are not too difficult to achieve!

If I was a farmer :

1) Educate my self
2) Realise that two children are more than enough. Having more children gives you more hands .... but those hands are raised more often for taking rather than helping.
3) Will educate the my children.. and will try to apply their education to improve my yield and standard of living.
4) Inspite of that if they wanna explore other avenues I wont stop them.
5) Empower women in my family ... motivate them to study and work !!
