Is it cool to wear a dot com t-shirt??? - 25-04-2006, 06:56 AM

with all due respect to all those who bought th new t shirts launched by pagalguy but truly does any1 out here really think that u can beat th style of a lacoste or an attitude spelled by nike or tantra for tht matter...
i don understand y wud some1 shell out 500 bucks fr a dotcom label unless he/she has'nt ever been to th street market next lane where u can find beter styles fr 100 a piece....
i think its gotta do with better advertising which sells anythin under th sun..
honestly i would'nt prefer wearin any company labels to sum party (unless its a holi party) n look like a living advertisement to sum company which is nt even remotely connected to manufacturing t-shirts... n talkin bout daily wear i don think tht any1 loves a dot com name at their back unless u really wanna tell people look i m a member of this super cool site...
should'nt we be gettin these t-shirts as freebies frm such companies if atleast we don get paid fr advertisin their brand on us.

You obviously, in layman terms, are a newbie. If it hurts your ego to wear such shirts, dont. But for me, I dont mind paying for these t-shirts and giving PG some "advertising space" considering the free help I've been receiving from this site for the last 2 years.
Period.

Can you please define 'attitude' and 'Style'? If wearing a Nike shirt is attitude for you, wearing a PG tee would be attitude for someone else.

And i donot understand how a newbie can pass valuable comments on the forum dotcom without understanding how the place works, and the community feeling here.

Can't believe somebody actually thought this topic worthy enough to deserve a full fledged thread!
PG is identified and acknowledged by the student across the country, mate. Wearing that T-shirt is not just about style and attitude, its also about revelling in the fact that you're part of this community.
As a trainee, it would seem rather immodest to comment on a newbie, but here's some 'as wise as possible' words.
By the time you get to 30 posts and to trainee-dom, you'll get a fair idea of what PG is about. But make sure you don't get to 30 posts by continuing to post on this thread. Get out there...

Style/Quality - agreed Lacoste beats us hands down, but i dont think more than 1% of the youngsters can afford a lacoste tee of 1300+ bucks .
I can vouch for it , as the others who have worn the tee, you will not get the PG tee quality anywhere for less than 500 bucks..
I know few guys who are big time tantra fans, and when they saw and wore PG tees...they have told me that if we are able to manufacture tees regularly, maintaining the quality and price, tantra may face stiff competition

Attitude - Insanely Different anyone ?:satisfie:

Rs. 249 /- my dear friend..and that too , inclusive of taxes and postage charges.
And yes thanks for giving us the compliment of "better advertising". I think we are gettin there

firstly u help someone.then u give that person money because he llowed u help him.bah!!!

wth..u define cool as wearing clothes or the style in lacoste,nike,tantra..
dude, style cant be attained by these brands.they just make u believe that u r wearing wats in..u have to create ur own style according to ur attitude..and for gods sake..even nike is a company..then why wear their clothers..after all when ur freind sees ur NIKE shirt and says "good shirt, which company"u end up advertising for NIKE...i say u break the chain.make ur own clothes, but dont put any tags on it..then u will be doing wat u said.which in all probability u wont do..

and once u realize the value of PG,u probably will stop referring it as JUST ANOTHER DOT COM..
till then go and explore PG and enjoy your stay here:d
