Dear Friends,

I was personally let down by the way the madras junta reacted to the whole fiasco , and the fact that she was forced into apologising ..

why are we becoming so hypocrites ... There was this show on ndtv on we the ppl , from chennai , and by god , there were extreme cases..
I was happy that khushboo still stuck to her guns and said that I didnt apologise for my views , i just aplogised if my views hurt anybody ...
almost everyone has had a gf or a bf , and no one wait for marriage then we get offended by khushboo's statment that Men should not expect their wifes to be virgins...

I dont think that women should be offended by her statemement , In fact it is a sign of the changing times , and ppl feel free to air their views....
I personally feel what khushboo , said is absolutely correct , I am from gurgaon , and i am speaking wrt to gurgaon ,and delhi , and ya abt bbay also...

Funny how an actress who used to be worshipped by the people is now under fire for her comments

One has to understand that it was her personal views and of course she wasnt trying to actually influence anyone. Thts what freedom of expression is all abt.

But these are the sort of things that the culture police use to gain popularity. so whatever happens now this debate will conitnue

this is just another classic example of hyporcracy.... we want to reduce the population, yet our elders want a growing and a big family... we are trained from the childhood to not mingle with the girls (and to girls... not to mingle with the boys) which leads them to secretly start having affairs and they can't come out about it openly. Khushboo was one of the bold woman who came up with rejecting the idealogy of the conservative society... but had to face the bare wrath of the people.... but i ask, what was wrong in what she said? We are citizens of free India and have rights to speak and put our say in front of others and it is totally irrational to condemn anybody's view because they are modern or liberal.... I feel that we must strongly support her and show others, that India doesn't belong to any hypocrites.... but civic minded people who are very liberal in their ideas yet culturally oriented.....

As everyone wud agree, we know that everyone has freedon of Speech. Khushbu did a mistake...she used her fundamental right.
Another mistake....she said what she thought.
Her statements have been modified and represented in a totally pessimistic manner. And the juntha as alays gets carried away with so-called "sensational news" and react in a foolish manner. They do not think what is right what is wrong but they fear to come out with their own opinions and wish to follow the crowd. Khushbu shud realise that people hav no selfrespect nor any respect for others.There is absolutely no use trying to understand them.

Well guyz heres my two cents worth (A tamilian whos been in delhi all his life)

From wat i have seen of chennai over the past 16 years I have observed that recently two different and clashing strata have emerged from among the common man. One is the ultra hip youth who are in tune with the times and the other class is the mostly illiterate and misguided bunch of people entrenched in the past and feel that girls are disrespecting our culture by wearing modern clothes. Unfortunately the latter group has found strong political backing and this was directly evident from the recent khushboo fiasco. Tamilnadu can now boast to be India's reply to taliban which is especially distressing for me and as mentioned in the above posts people worshipping filmstars is something which does not show them in a good light. Hope that with changing times people learn to adapt themselves otherwise we wud have many more events like these.

The complete loosers in life always seek issues so that they can stay busy. They gratify themselves with the idea that there life is worth living n in the process continue 2 wreck other ppls life. well it probably sounds a succinct way of describing politicans but my intent was 2 hint on the ppl who startd this Kushboo episode. i am sure these guys have gleefully enjoyed every bit of nusiance which they created coz afterall it was silver lining in their mundane exsistence!!!!!!
Lets nt even comment wht Kushboo said as most of us would agree that Virginty is nt an issue anymore......more over if men r nt expected 2 be virgin then women of course are also free to loose their virginty before marriage.
The point is that how few morons victimize a public figure n getaway with that while the majority who oppose it stood around mute! I guess its a sad comment that these jerks are still out n free looking for a prospective prey........its probably becoz of this passive approach that a small bunch of jacka**es ( read politicians) is bleeding our country 2 medicorisity!!

I even saw well educated ppl the so called eite of chennai , having these regressive views , as some of u wud have see on the special episode of we the ppl...
Even the bashing up of lovers at that park in meerut was also something related ...
though behaving indecently in public should be a no no , I think so ....
