Moving to Hyderabad - 04-02-2006, 11:03 PM

Hi Guys,

I am moving to Hyd from Mumbai. Office will be at Hi tech city.

Can any one tell me the tentative rates for 1BHK rented accomodation (say 500 sq ft) somewhere near that place say max 15-20 mins away ( which has 24X7 water supply & elec).
Hmm.. i gues would luv it if theres a mall , gym and other facilities nearby as I will get bored alone in tht city..guess everyone from mumbai will agree tht there's nothin better than amchi mumbai.

will be of gr88 help man..

regards

Hie folks!

I have a cuppla friends in Hyderabad, wh shifted there juz a few months bak. So, know the estate rents in Begumpet an around. In Begumpet, u wont find 1BHK quite often, generally 2 and 3BHKs only. Now, u may say, u dont need that big a space, but then, theres not much on offer. Also, the rents for 1BHK and 2BHK differ by about Rs500 a month. Generally, u would find a decent accomodation in the range of Rs.3000 to Rs.3500 a month. (property rates ou there are pretty low as compared to Mumbai). Also, in Hyd, the water charges are levied extra, but u can work out with the landlord for a lumpsum amount to be included in ur rental charges. Generally Water charges are Rs500 a month.

Hope that helps, for further details, post on the Hyderabad city specific threads.

Hi! Silversurfer,

Since you're gonna work in Hitech City, it would be better if you find accomidation somewhere around Madhapur. I'm not sure about the rents in that area, but it will not cross the 3K mark. And yes, they charge you extra for Water and Electricity.

There are loadsa GYM's in and around Madhapur. The closest of which being, ETHNOS in CYBER PERAL, which is like a stone throw's away from Hitech City. If you want something better and more expensive, then try out LATITUDES in J'Hills.

Regarding the malls, you don't hafta worry 'cos there a re quite a few in Banjara Hills, Punjagutta, Begumpet and Somajiguda.

Have a great time in here!

Hey! Hocus Pocus,

There are loadsa appartments in and around Begumpet! And it's an amazing area to stay! Loadsa Malls and stuff. If not Begumpet, you can try getting an acco in Somajiguda or at the most, Masab Tank (Which is slightly inexpensive compared to the aforementioned areas).

Re: Moving to Hyderabad - 05-02-2006, 01:09 PM

Hey Guys
I was staying at Humayun Nagar near Mehdipatnam. I was paying Rs 4600 pm which included the water charges and they gave me a 250 ltr refrigerator. It was a 2bhk flat with a very good market nearby and 3 major ATMs at stone throw away. Now if u have to go to Hitec City then I would suggest u to find a place in Mehdipatnam because the travelling time is only 30mins from there till Hitec City. If u take any accomodation in Begumpet or Ameerpet then the same would increase. If u want to stay in Madhapur then the price are touching the roof over thier. I was getting a 1bhk for Rs 4200 without water and electricity in Madhapur. Now 1 more thing against Madhapur is that it is very far from the main city like Panjagutta which has the central mall and now PVR is also there.
So keep these things in mind before selecting a place. Hope that helps.

Cheers
Hitesh
