Oiiiii... Remember I talked about Porto being docked points for Bribery allegations in 2003/04..

Isnt it the same season in which they won the Champions League under Mourinho :new_bat_angel:

And earlier today I brought up the topic about Milan getting through because of the financial troubles faced by CSKA Sofia

Now this has happened

Football: Uefa excludes Porto from Champions League | Football | guardian.co.uk

MANCHESTER UNITED
CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND, EUROPE & WORLD

Jose Mourinho recently claimed his side's Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a better player.

Ronaldo, though, has refused to be drawn into a war of words, adding: "I respect everyone's opinion. But the trophies that matter are at my house."

And yes, Essien would in fact be a great purchase for any club in the world.

Baresi as assistant coach is a great decision. He is an Inter legend having played for 16 years for the club and has recently done wonder as the director of the youth squad.
Ego's has always been an issue at Inter and most Serie A fans would agree with it.....

It has been the money power of Inter that has always been speaking rather than the coach and the players......

Chivu left Roma for $$$$ and not a world class team as such.....Same applies to Zlatan who jumped the boat cuz Juve were relegated......

Inspite of having Crespo,Zlatan ?? Why Suazo ??

Whoooa and whether I knw Moratti ??? Who dosent know him and his hunger ???
Would bet'cha on a hundred dollars if the ego's of Jose and Moratti dont crash!!!

There are team players pal but sadly lot more of ego's than team players.......

Goal.com - AC Milan - Milan's Champions League Dream In Tatters?

Milan's Champions League Dream In Tatters?
Milan’s hopes of playing in next season's Champions League have been dashed after the Bulgarian FA (BFU) decided to give the UEFA license to Levski Sofia.

Il Diavolo appeared to have been handed a lifeline as Bulgaria’s FA has asked that champions CSKA Sofia be thrown out from the Champions League due to financial problems.

Reports suggested that Milan would be given the place as the highest UEFA ranked team not in the competition.

However, Rossoneri hopes have gone up in smoke as it has emerged that the Bulgarian authorities are likely to give the Champions League place to Levski Sofia leaving Milan with the UEFA Cup.

The Rossoneri failed to qualify for the Champions League after Fiorentina beat them to the all-important fourth placed finish.

Milan had been involved in the past six editions of the competition and now they will return to the UEFA Cup as they did back in 2001.

It was Milan’s less than vintage campaign this season in Serie A which proved to be their Champions League downfall.

There was another surge in hopes when Portuguese champions Porto were removed from the competition this afternoon, but it is expected that Benfica, who finished fourth in the BWIN Liga, will claim their place.

The San Siro club will now have to wait until next year to get their chance in Europe’s elite club tournament but they have to ensure they improve their league form considerably if they are to achieve their Champions League ambition.

On a diff note, if someone wants to see the pure passion of football and the ill effects it may bring in, I would recommend the Brit movie " Green Street Hooligans"..!!

Its a movie abt GSC....the infamous West Ham Firm.....wudnt want to reveal too much...but its a must watch for any football fan....and promise you shall leave you with a bulge in your throat, a tear in you eye and an ache in your heart..!!!

mark 'sparky' hughes has signed a 3-year deal with man citeh.wait and watch how he performs in the transfer market with the bountiful of cash on offer from thakshin.given his eye for a talent and value for money buyings in the past years, the chances of his being successful in citeh are high.

Pool are closing in on dossena...i wonder how many full backs do they want to keep in their roster,he'll be the 5th fullback in the reds squad (make it 6th if riise is not leaving this season).

@fire_kris----in the post 3 pages back, surely you meant gary pallister and not lineker....about your riposte on other issues I have the following to say:-
@jaap---point taken, but saf made things clear a bit late in the day.
@ronaldo---i couldn't get you on that, but ronnie's agent mentioned today he is intent for the real move.

Hmm...Risse is surely on his way out, Roma seems to be the destination..!!

As for Steve Finnan, he surely aint getting any younger.....Agger may just be back after a long term injury..so his situation is quite dicey..!!

Btw looks like Kewell is on his way to Celtic...!!

Alonso seems to be on his way to Juve, depending on the Barry move..!!

Btw the United Ramsey deal is far from done....as Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton (cant believe..!!) too are after the young talent..!!

P.S: Chelsea seem to have sent a SOS to the current Roma coach..!!

What egos are you referring to exactly? What problems have been caused?

Ok, I am not here to defend my club. But for Chivu, if you know the happenings, he had very high paying offers from Madrid and Barca, but he rejected them and came to Inter on a lesser salary. Please don't make baseless assumptions.

Zlatan jumped because he didn't want to play in Serie B. Really, if not Inter he would have played somewhere else but he had to move. Juve needed to sell players since they lost out a lot of money moving to Serie B.

Every club wanting to challenge for a few trophies looks to strengthen its squad. With Adriano in terrible form for some time now, a new striker had to be taken in. Whats wrong in signing players? Its not like the player has been poached or acquired through illicit means.

You apparently don't. Why do you think he is deluded?
Their egos might clash. That happens at every second club. Bet a 100 dollars and give a time frame

Again like I said name it. I know exactly what egos have clashed and the effects of each. Its not something that has even a cent of impact on their games.

Milan is not getting that spot now since Sofia is allowed to play thankfully.

Quaresma will now move 100% if Porto don't play in CL. There wasn't any doubt about it otherwise too but now they may have to sell him for a lower price. There could be a big fight for him.

Re: Football Club - 05-06-2008, 12:14 AM

This Ramsey kid is giving everyone a lot to talk about. Reports say the Welch club have accepted bids from both United and Arsenal, and now its up to the kid the decide. Everton have joined the race too (ha.. who are they kidding)

If he does finally choose United, I can bet many are going to come out declaring that he choose the "better/richer/more ambitious/etc" club.. but i feel we already have quite a few 17 year old talented youngsters to last last us the next 10 years or so.
What we need right now is one experienced bloke. I'd prefer someone who can atleast vote.

And again we seemed to be linked with David Villa. And supposedly our no.1 competition is .. yes.. Spurs!!

People can go on speculating.. but Villa is not going to come to Arsenal, Wenger will not spend that kind of money on a single player, especially after reports of us closing in on Nasri, we dont have that sort of money!!

cheers..
