@Varun bhaiya
Yaar....is already superfast thread ki speed ko aur mat badhao To quote someone, just invest a little more time, and delete the unnecessary bits, and quote only the relevant part. It might take a slight bit of extra time, but believe me, it'll make your posts much readable.
Because of the speed of this thread, someone who logs in after say 6 hours, already has 2-3 pages to read through. So, one tends to ignore long posts, and focuses only on the shorter ones.
Seriously...no offence, please....feel free to disagree with me.

He may have had none at Chelsea when he joined but he sure has handled Drogba, Terry, Lampard who are all big egos. And he did have a hand in making stars out of them.
I hope he isn't judged by his first year since it could take time to get used to the league. A lot will be revealed before the season starts itself by his transfers. I like Lampard, Drogba et all but won't like him to bring his familiar players here. 1-2 can be fine but surely not more. In fact the one I would really have is Essien
He will surely spend minimum 2 seasons here unless something disastrous happens. He has a very expensive contract and after spending a lot on Mancini's severance, Moratti would not like to go through it again.

Varun, all the posts where you quote the entire posts.. and don't use the multi-quote. These become eye-sores, and we have to keep scrolling away.
P.S.: I feel Mourinho will do well at Inter. Expect to see lots of heads rolling from there, especially in the attack department. Cruz, Adriano, Crespo..might all be shown the door IMO.

Click multi-quote on all the posts that you'd like to quote, and then click Reply/Quote on the last post... that should do the trick...
P.S. Sorry for the spam, folks!

Bet on England on WC 2010 ...I'll take that bet.
what I meant was that england have been reduced to such a level now that they have to treat these countries with respect, not that they shouldnt.
Lets see...only time will tell if i was wrong, but i still think they are dull...

This could affect the whole European club game if FIFA pushes it thru'
BBC SPORT | Football | Europe | Fifa votes for foreign quota plan
Specially Arsenal which had an average of 0.34 englishmen in the starting XI of their games last season

The current rule is of having home grown and federation grown players in the squad. Actually I think Arsenal does better on this one. Since home grown implies the player should spend 3 years at the club in age group 15-21. I am not sure of the details but can verify them.
For ex, the current Arsenal team can show Fabregas as home grown I guess.
The UEFA rule of home grown and federation grown players will be in force but I doubt the same for the FIFA rule since it is against EU employment norms. Employers cannot distinguish on the basis of nationality and the rule would imply selecting local players over imported ones.

Rooney,Crouch,Owen,Defoe ( pompey move has done him good..!!) and maybe Dean Ashton....Its high time Bent is sacked now....he has scuffed enough chances..!!
In the mid field, I agree only one of Lampard n Gerrard can play....they get into each others way.....Gerrard and Barry would make a great central midfield pair...!!
On the right wing, DB1 and DB2 ( the protege ) along with SWP should do well....on left wing, we have Joe Cole...Stevie G too started on left wing last match...!!
And then we have people who can change matches in a second..ppl like Theo Walcott...loved his goal against Liverpool in UCL...!!

Algati my friend, Peter Crouch is not England material period. He can be used sparingly but what we are talking about is Main striker. You said Michael Owen taking three chance to score one. What is Mr. Crouch strike rate.. Kindly elaborate as your questioning your own statement. ha:
Owen is one of the good performers for england at world stage.
Crouch is basically a little improved of Heskey or at par with him, nothing more.
Well as far as central striker is concerned.. England only hope is Dean Ashton apart from Owen... Defoe isnt consistent for me. 2-3 months of good football and because of EPL coverage you are in the spotlight.
Barry! Well I can't understand this... Anyone given a choice between Carrick/Hargo/Barry, just because he is about to link up with Gerrard and created a goal doesn't mean they are great..
Hargo is much better.
When we are talking about WC '10, DB1 is not a surety, I am bit apprehensive about trying SWP, he has tried and failed innumerable times, first he should get his bearings right at club level.
Gerrard on Left ( I will let Sumit comment on this, Capello is showing signs of being another McLaren)
Agreed on the defense and the impact Walcott can have..
Future is very uncertain for England.
I will consider Jok3r's is one of the safest bets around. What are the odds?
P.S.: I don't understand when you say important goals (ur reasoning about Kuyt, though he plays on right wing)... A striker is not only played to score important goals, he is played to score maximum number of goals for the team.. Also which is the toughest opposition Crouch has scored against.. I wont consider babies like Macedonia, Andorra, Estonia
Ciao..
Kris
