newssss :
ESPNsoccernet - England - Capello names Terry as captain against USA
ESPNsoccernet - England - Deschamps in for Chelsea job?
ESPNsoccernet - England - Schuster sees Ronaldo as an easy fit at Real
why hasnt he given a chance to gerrard?....all the talk was between rio & terry...
Deschamps for chelsea? ...dnt really know what to make of it...maybe rockball has a better idea...
& someone tell schuster to stop dreaming.... now.id have parted with ronaldo only if i was getting ramos & casillas...& id still think twice..;-)
EDIT : a big thanks to all who voted for me... ...u all get a jersey of your favorite teams' rivals ....all of us did agree on most of the players....& ande ka funda's team was very similar(i'd like to see his views on my la liga team;-))...
lets have a competetion for the worst players of the season...as someone suggested:cool1:

It was great fun being part of this contest, and amazingly enough, the only neutral around won . Joker, well done mate. I think we should partake such stuff more often. Maybe one for the EURO after the tournament gets over. Or a 'best Team of all time' including the greats of the past. What say, people?
P.S.: Going through the pages for the votes, I came across a real good discussion about the formations. Sadly, I missed it completely.
P.P.S.: As I ain't the only 'WIMWI' boy around anymore (thanks to Joel), I suggest you fellas cook up other acronyms for us.
Edit: Apart from Deschamps, there is the curious case of the Espanyol manager as well who's resigned from his post.

Wah wah!! Liverpool ke EPL season ki tarah....main team of the season mein bhi 4th place mein hoon. Full marks for consistency, eh?
But yeah, good job WIMWI boy and coolroy, with the results.
Btw, we can call Swagat "Swat CAT" if we're ok with the name. Let's vote, huh?
I shall make my fantasy teams in a couple of days....deadline se pehle kaam karne mein mazaa nahi aata

Man!! Its been two nailbiting days now. Not able to concentrate on anything. Just going through all the Italian sites and F5ing on Inter forums. Mourinho was supposed to have given yesterday as the deadline to sign him according to a reliable Portugese paper. There was a meeting between Moratti and some members and supposedly he also met Mancini yesterday. We don't quite know the outcome and I am trying to get all this out of my mind.
The general opinions is that Moratti wants Mourinho and Mourinho wants to join Inter. But Mancini has a long and lucrative contract. Getting rid of him would need an expensive severance package. As a result Moratti would like to wait for a while and hope Mancini resigns himself which seems unlikely now. It will be a long and painful wait but I am sure Mourinho will come after that.
Deschamps for Chelsea?
He is a young coach and most noteworthy achievement as a coach would be leading Monaco to CL finals. I was very surprised when Juve fired him since he did a decent job there. To me, Deschamps is more of a motivator than a tactician. With a good squad he would do well but I guess there are better coaches out there.
Chelsea are in a tough spot with the choices being Deschamps, Rijkaard, Mancini, Hiddink who has refused it. Mourinho could very well return to Chelsea
We have seen stranger things happen and I really hope this time it doesn't happen.

This is really generating some news. Just like Brangelina or Princess Diana's death or the Aarushi thing on tv 24*7. Something or the other keeps popping up like Branca travelling to Portugal to meet Jose, Mancini visiting Moratti's residence, entering with a smile and coming out real soon with not a happy face, Jose taking Italian lessons...........
The only problem seems how to part with Mancini
