Yeah got the Queens Park wrong the 1st time....but when was googling for london,sarita n renault...realised Queens Park too is a London club...hence edited my post.!!!

Some interesting insights during the Liverpool match...

Rafa has not started with Alonso, Risse and Crouch..giving a clear indication that they wont be playing for the new season....feel bad about the way Crouchie's season has gone along.....dont understand Rafa...on one hand he says Crouch has been offered a new contract and the ball is in his court and on the other hand, he doesnt play Couchie.!!!

Also, Rafa was blasted for his alleged "lie" abt the hamstring injury picked up by Torres against Chelsea.....It would be a medical marvel if his hamstring got all right in a period of 3 days....guess Rafa's got some answering to do at the end by Jeff Shrives...!!

Match a bit off the boil...hope it sparks into life in the 2nd half..as of now, just a wonder strike by Gerrard superbly saved by Hart..!!

So, the final home game for the Mersey Reds end in a predictable 1-0 win..!!

Flat 1st half...not much apart frm a gerrard wonder strike....2nd half much better...!! Gerrard in his usual maraudering form....but it was apt for El Nino to score for the 8th time consecutive in front of the Kop ( thats one record Ronaldo cant beat this season..!!)

Lots of chances created for Kuyt and Babel to waste, seems Kuyt just cant score in the league at Anfield....mighty unlucky with one hitting the post n another superb save by Hart..if not Hart, score line would have been 3-0.4-0..!!

Rafa then took Gerrard off and got Voronin n Alonso..meanwhile former kop hero hamann got a raucous welcome by the Kop...wonderful to see him still in full form..!!

Voronin, as usual, proved ineffective with misplaced passes....City came back in the last stages with Elano and Benjani with good freekicks..!!

All said n done, that was Liverpool's 20th victory...too many draws..13 I guess...which did it for the title hopes..!!!

All now to look forward to the Newcastle-Chelsea game...will Kop hero St Owen pay a favour to arch rivals Man Utd ....we shall see..!!
