Deviating from a topic ive read about on the last few pages, to some interesting info.
Zenit look like they are going through, 3-0 up, im glad a relatively unknown team has beaten an European giant so comprehensively, really shows how you dont need star players to do well, you need the desire to win.
Interesting that, a team from Manchester will be going to Russia to play a Champions league final , and a team from Russia will travel to Manchester to play a UEFA cup final. n both the cases, im sure the teams would be very welcome

Yeah Zenit's Skrtel's former club....good to see them doing well...good for european football if russian football does well....
There were times when all the big clubs wud fear to go to Moscow ( Lokomotiv ) and Dinamo...places like that...!!
Mr Roman shall be pretty happy esp with Russia in the Euros too..!!!

Rangers go through to the final, beating Fiorentina 4-2 on penalties after the match stayed scoreless after extra time. Fiorentina had 27 shots but failed to make any of them count. Rangers played the final 14 minutes with 10 men. A big win for Rangers away from home.
Didn't watch the match, but here's the penalty shootout from BBC's live commentary:
2217: Barry Ferguson takes the first penalty and it's saved by Frey.
2218: Kuzmanovic makes no mistake from the spot to put Fioretina 1-0 up.
2219: Steven Whittaker makes it 1-1 with a cool finish.
2220: Montilivo puts the Italians 2-1 up, but Papac equalises. It's 2-2. Can Neil Alexander bring Rangers back into it? He can!
2222: Brahim Hemdani makes it 3-2 to Rangers and Christian Vieri misses.
Fabio Liverani misses, Rangers are within touching distance of the final.
2223 Nacho Novo scores to send Rangers into the Uefa Cup final. Unbelievable scenes in Florence!

Huh!!!.. Is it Rangers 'A' team vs Rangers 'B' team...
I was thinking about how people seem to read the holy books a whole lot more as they get older; then it dawned on me . .
they're cramming for their final exam...

No there are no second leg here or in any other finals in european football (would be a good question whether there are any two legged finals in european football?)... Guys correct me but I think there is a two legged final in AFC Champions League
Also when ties are played on neutral grounds is generally only one leg, that is my guess?
Its good to see Sevilla not featuring in the UEFA Cup Finals for a change..
Ciao..
Kris
