well well well... he had so much newbies but they seem to have all disappeared... but alagati is the one who has really getting into the thick of things..
Well as I said too much work is to be done to ensure a LIV-ManUtd finale... so we should keep the topic shelved till thurday morning...
Cristiano getting the PFA award was merely a formality.. would have been shocked if somebody else would have got it :rockon:... I hope there is a general consensus that we was the best player this season and deserved the PFA...
Important: Vidic will definetly feature against barca...Sir Alex told it wasnt a concussion he was just dazed... we could have brought him back after 15 mins or so.... but it would have been taking a very big risk playing with 10 men...
Rooney is also expected to feature...

Sorry mate...it doesnt work that way in the PFA awards or for that matter any international award.
And why cant Darsheel Safry be given both the awards? If he has performed well enough, he deserves both! 
Back to football, C. Ronaldo in fact had won the both the awards last year (Player of the year as well as Young player of the year)

So I dont see any reason for him missing out this year!
I am a big Fabregas fan and am happy that he has won it....but Ronaldo certainly deserved it more than him.

IMO, Both Ronaldo & Torres deserved it more than Fabregas did...
Ronaldo's goal tally has been outstanding while Torres has settled brilliantly in the new league

Agree with kris here. Ronaldo has definitely been the player of the season for me, and rightfully got the award. Vis-a-vis the young player award, I had two names in mind:
Cesc and Ashley Young. I actually don't feel that Young's gone off the boil. Even in the last game, he scored 2. Cesc winning the award is fine with me. Somehow, I didn't think of Torres as a candidate for young player.
Hopefully what Kris has said about Vidic is right and he'll play against Barca. It is better that all teams be on full strength. He's lost one tooth though from what I hear.

If Ronaldo is considered better than Fabregas in the Player of The Year category, then by default, if both are nominated of young player of the year, Ronaldo is better than Fabregas for young player of the year as well. Its ridiculous to think otherwise. But i guess it is done so that ronaldo doesn't win both the awards again. 
Torres has scored only 3 away goals all season. And even if he's new to the league, so what? It isn't a best newcomer award!! Don't get me wrong, hes fantastic. But this award is for the EPL, and Liverpool are fighting for 4th. torres hasn't had an impact on the team as much as Fabregas.
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Unless you're Man Utd, in which case you let the other teams get ahead and then start sprinting as they all fall apart.

Ok, it has happened earlier. Doesnt it sound silly though? If a young player has won the best player award, surely he also qualifies for the best young player award. Anyways, Torres deserved it more then Fabregas whose performance this season has been downhill!

I agree with Kris and Swagat. I think Fabregas would have been a stronger contender for the award, if his team had benefitted more from his individual performance. In Ronaldo's case, he was responsible for carrying the entire game on his shoulders many times. His creative influence, and his goal-scoring, and goal-creating abilities have definitely put United in the driver's seat this season. Well deserved award!
Also, yeah, I didn't think of Torres as a 'young' player either.
P.S. Please keep in mind that I am a Ronaldo-hater, but I still have to admit that he has been outstanding this season.
