Whatta Match!!!
Hargreaves was top notch...he really has come a long way since the 1st time i saw him play on the left for england & thought 'why the hell did they pick this guy' oketoungeb:
United have shown they're the strongest side in europe this season...not many teams can come back from 1-0 down to beat one of your closest title challengers...
wenger still said that both the decisions(penalty & free kick) were completely wrong ...but im used to it by now...
he should admit a bit of his mistake & get better players....NOW...(which he probably wont do)
toure as RB...song getting his debut as CB...why didnt he play eboue at RB & walcott on the wing...baffling...to say the least...
if they continue in the same vein...arsenal will be the 4th best side in england...despite all the claims for playing the best brand of football(& i partly agree with them)....but its the silverware at the end of the season which counts...
cheers...

Upcoming Fixtures and Predictions
Chelsea vs Wigan Stamford Bridge April 14
Everton vs Chelsea Goodison Park April 17
Blackburn vs Man Utd Ewood Park April 19
Chelsea vs Man Utd Stamford Bridge April 26
Man Utd vs West Ham Old Trafford May 03
Newcastle vs Chelsea St James' Park May 05
Chlesea vs Bolton Stamford Bridge May 11
Wigan vs United JJB Stadium May 11
1.Chelsea should win here and will have 77 points in 34 matches.
2.Tought Match but do or die for chelsea. They have to win here or else United walk away with title. If they get a draw then also United have to lose somewhere apart from Stamford Bridge to hand over the title to Chelsea.
3.United should win here.
4.Big Match No predictions here - This match comes right after the first leg of Chamipons league semifinal.
5.United should win.
6.Chelsea cannot afford to lose or draw.
So in next 4 matches United should get minimum 7 points ( 2 wins 1 draw 1 loss against chelsea) atleast so they should reach 87. Chelsea right now are at 74 and they have 5 matches left. So you can do your maths here, they have to win all 5 matches and hope United draw 1 match with Blackburn or West Ham or Wigan. If United win 3 and lose against Chelsea they reach 89 and they still win the title becuase even if Chelsea win all 5 and reach 89 United have more wins.
Things are looking bleak for Chelsea since out of 5 matches 2 are definitely tough with Everton and Man Utd while United can still afford to lose 1 match out of last 4 and still win the championship. So although mathematically possible for Chelsea but i think for them best option would be to concentrate on Champions league or else they may find themselves with too many things on their hands and ultimately losing both. Since liverpool have almost secured their 4th postion in premier league they obviosly will be much more focussed than Chelsea in the CL Semifinal.
P.S Situation would have been lot different had United lost yesterday or against Middlesbrough last week. Then surely United Chelsea Match would have been decider.

Amazing match, lots of energy by Arsenal, lots of chances. And for once Wenger must be thinking what if Henry was in place of E-Manual.
Donno why, but I have a sneaky feelin that Everton have some role to play in this title race...

I wonder why Wenger can't openly admit being outplayed. In my opinion, Arsenal lost due to (1) shoddy finishing from Adebayor, (2) running out of steam in the last one-third, and (3) maybe a slightly dodgy decision.
However, I wonder why he said nothing about the 'Hand of God' goal.

Re: Football Club -

anyone still vouching for AC milan's chances to qulify for next yr's CL?
serie-a Table reads like this
Intermilan - 75
roma - 71
Juve - 61
fiorentina - 56
Ac milan - 52
milan need to take 4th spot to qualify..with 3 more matches remaining hmmm remains a huge question if theyl make it..juve have one more extra match ..so its not possible to come to 3rd spot for milan..only hope for milan is for fiorentina losing all and milan winning the remaining 3 which is not easy ..

no disrespect, but wenger doesn't have it in him to accept that.
after arsene wenger's comments on diaby , andy gray said
"new rules have to be introduced regards arsenal , whenever an arsenal player goes for a challenge , irrespective of where the ball is , its always a protective challenge and never a malicious one. whenever an opposition player goes for a challenge (while facing arsenal) its always a malicious one . that player should never be allowed to play football again."
even after the defeat to liverpool , AW said , "we lost beacuse decisions went against us" , my balls it went against them.
he's someone who doesn't have the guts to admit that the other team won beacuse they deserved to. even after ten years of coaching, if this is his mindset , i dont think we can ever see a new arsene wenger.
arsenal ,if they ever lose , its only because decisions go against them , its only because they had an off day , its only beacuse sun rises in the east.

Sorry mates for my prolonged absence from PG. …couldn’t even register for the SquadDog!
The last weekend was rightly billed as the season defining one for Arsenal and to a certain extent also for barca. And very regrettably, it has ended in tears for both.
Barcelona continue to mystify everyone wit their lack of concentration and application. How can hey let their advantage slip away so easily in such crunch games? Beats me….and probably even them. They now have only the CL to salvage their season, which is a Herculean task to say the least
Was interesting to read a report in which Thierry Henry was included in the list of the worst transfers in the La Liga during this season. The great Henry was supposed to complete the Fantastic 4 at Barca…but it looks like the original fantastic 4 has already been dismantled with a new younger 4 set to replace it (Messi, Boja, Dos Santos and Etoo) . Things have really gone downhill since his arrival at Barcelona.
At the same time, the modest Gnegneri Yahya Toure was hailed as the BEST signing in the La Liga this season.
Just proves that big money is no guarantee for success.
Coming to Arsenal, I am still in mourning… wot a chance to get right back into the title race….but alas! Reminiscent of Anfield, they gave away a penalty just minutes after scoring (dubious or not doesn’t matter). This is plainly unacceptable at this level…..and certainly not against teams like Man Utd and Liverpool…:frown:
Arsenal really do need a stronger squad next season……no two ways about it.

Re: Football Club -

hi..
i can't understand why there is so much being said about the penalty....it was as clear penalty as you would ever see...gallas's hand moved towards the ball..and it was case of hand to ball and so it was a clear penalty...
talking about malicious challenges Adebayor's challenge on Anderson what was that....it was more dangerous than the Diaby's tackle in FA cup...
talking about arsene he is the cry baby of BPL.. whenever a team wins against his team its because of referees and whenever they win its because of TOTAL FOOTBALL.... and did he say anything about the handball of adebayor..i am pretty sure he missed it...but he clearly saw both the incidences when united score and presented his own interpretation...
i think its time that he should concentrate on football or else they could even lose their 3rd place to liverpool.
in La-Liga real madrid strengthened their position at top with a 1-0 win over Murcia..Sniejder scored the goal..also M.Torres was given red card and madrid played with ten men for almost 70 mins....
also villareal lost to almeria 0-1 and wasted an opportunity to go second in the league...
Real Madrid now leads Barca by 9 points and they should win the league comfortably..
ande_ka_funda: why did you groan at my previous post :-|
