Hey John

Yeah, Man U are goint through a real Bad Patch currently. They were doing great for the first half of the season, but I guess the turning point of the season was their defeat to Wolves (The Upset of the Season ). They have been going downnhill since.......But u still can't rule them out for a late burst

And thinking back to the Arsenal V/s Man U Match..........things could have been such a whole lot different if that Penalty had gone the other way

Wayne

PS: Thanks for the Link Pal.....Great Site

Arsenal? Perfect? No way. I believe that every single Arsenal player (specially Vieira, Henry and Campbell) is an absolute disgrace to the game by virtue of the team's behaviour and demeanour both on and off the pitch... as a case in point, the scenes at Old Trafford this season. What made it even worse was Wenger's sickening defence of his players and claiming that "it looked worse on TV than it actually was". Wow, headbutts and abusives get exaggerated by TV?? Let's not forget that Arsenal have by far the worst disciplinary record in the EPL (and in the whole of Europe for that matter)

Anyway, Arsenal have played decent football this season but they have been aided by some ridiculous refereeing, VERY mild FA punishments and ManU absolutely screwing up everything after the new year......

As far as talent goes, Arsenal will never win the Champions League. I say this because they have neither the defence nor the balance in the team that is required to beat teams like REAL MADRID.....and of course, the refs for UCL matches are not the blind owls that referee the matches in England.....

Finally, congratulations to Arsenal for the crown this year. They have earned it as much as United have lost it....

Cheers!

Mike

P.S. I think Pires is the second best player in England......Ruud's the best

yeppers....

they seem to play well enough against quality opposition but then somehow drop points against non-entities like the wolves n leeds...

id say they have a shot at the fa cup if they can beat the gunners...which'll have to happen at some point or the other...n thats easy enough this season..

the C-league however is not meant for a team with a defence that can limp at best...we'd do well to gain automatic qualification for next year...

John

p.s. gunners vs manu was THE lowpoint of the whole season..one reason for ppl to chuck football n watch something more ordinary like say cricket or darts or something..

Well Suit yourself, I was only trying to say that the Season could have been a whole lot different for Arsenal if that match had gone the other way.

And, no it was the first time I visited that site. My earlier haunts were Espnstar.com & arsenal.com.......those were quite good but this site beats them big time

Yea...I put in Pires as second just as a "consolation" to Arse-null fans. BTW, I don't agree abt Giggs being second though. On current form over the last 2 years, that HAS to go to PAUL SCHOLES!!!!!!!!! As for UCL, I think ManU have enough to be able to get past Porto at home......but I seriously doubt they will be able to beat Milan, Juve, Real and co. As for Arsenal, I'd rather bet on my walking on the surface of Mars tomorrow....it's far more likely I guess!!!

Henry....over-hyped (massively). An ok-ish player......let's just say, "He's not the WORST player in any case...."
