Though honestly, what was Viduka thinking yesterday??? St00pid SOB got sent off when Leeds were leading.....and look what happened.....sad....but true. The real damage happened much earlier in the season.... worst part is that they have some real good players and it defies logic that they are going down while Portsmouth and Man City are up..... but then, that's football.....

Hey ppl,
Another Man U fan here. so u can guess wat's putting me off these days. i have been supporting man u for 6 yrs now and this is certainly the worst team i have seen. manu's got some serious rebuilding to do. u know if i had it my way, these r the steps i wuld take ....first, fergie's out . the ol man's had his time and for me he's been the biggest reason for failure this season. he's run out of ideas and he wasted some serious cash buying some very ordinary players. hey, lemme know if there's news of fergie leaving..party for all then. in place of him wuld love to see marcello lipi, alan curbishley or hey, even del bosque. really think man u's gotto change the way it plays now and get back to the passing game. also, man u's got two key areas to address - defense and midfield. well defense's all in sixes n seven's and some big gun has to be brought in there. and look at the midfield..only scholes really good. ronaldo's got the talent but still has some growing up to do. giggs has turned into more of a striker n he has also lost his touch. the rest simply suck (neville bro, djemba, kleberson). really manu shuld have had ronaldinho last yr. besides i still haven't understood fergie's tactic of playin giggs in the right n ronaldo in the left. doesn't work ever and he reverses it in the second half.
abt UCL, my money's behing depo..real tough players they have. gr8 to see so many soccer fans here. neway, the post's gettin big, more next time.
cheers When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it

If the latest is to be believed, Chelsea are targeting Didier Deschamps as a coach and also bringing Morientes to the Bridge!!! Morientes would be awesome I guess...Deschamps, not so sure.
ManU meanwhile are apparently planning a bid for....Frank Lampard!!!!!! That should be a really nice one if it does go through. Apparently Lampard is unhappy with the fact that Chelsea want to bring in Owen Hargreaves (What an awesome player he is!!!!) from Bayern.
BTW, ManU really are opening the war-chest this year. Targeting a whole lotta players and we all know that they have the money for it....just hope they do a better job this year than last time around. Woodgate is also reputed to be on their list.
Veron seems to be on his way out of Chelsea.....for an amazingly low 8mn pounds. Some relief for ManU I guess that they got 16mn for him last year...
And I believe that Veron's abject failure and Kleberson's also, just demonstrates the fact that Ronaldinho made the perfect decision by choosing to play in La Liga rather than EPL....it would have been a disaster. South Americans just can't do it in EPL.....
Here's to the ManU backlash next season. May the double be theirs again (EPL and FA Cup). And may Real Madrid and AC Milan finally clash in the UCL Finals.
Cheers!
Mike

i have this hunch that frank lampard is going to rock euro 2004 and i believe he is gonna be the next great midfielders for the coming season. the problem chelsea are going to have to deal with is not whom to sign ... but whom to sell .. coz apprently the oil baron has forgotten that football teams take more time to gel than he takes to earn another bizzilion bucks.
veron is going to inter and then talks about carlos coming to the bridge .. all that about becks and ronaldo is just agent created hype i believe. walter samule and emerson ( one of the other best holding midfielders in the world .. partick viera is the other one .. just in case you were wondering )
also i believe mutu hasnt been doing much in the team and so he would also leave .. if there are any takers. by the way .. the first leeds deal has gone through .. paul robinson is going to the spurs for only 1.5 mill which is believe is somewhat less for someone of his caliber .. signs of maybe leeds are getting a wee bit desperate.
alan smith says " man u and leeds have been bitter rivals .. but now we are not even in the same league .. so that doesnt really qualify us as rivals .. i am interested in going to a place which would help me win trophies" ( sadly alan .. if that is your criteria .. man u doesnt really seem that enchanting does it?)

Yippeee!!!!. Arsenal have done it!!!
Arsenal 2: Leicester 1. Real tense match and when Leicester scored ...it was a kind of a shock ...but as always Henry scored the perfect Penalty and Bergkamp unleashing a real piece of magic with a kind of pass you can only dream of and Patrick Viera finishing it off in style.
Great Presentation Ceremony and this record is gonna take some beating . Great going by Arsenal and especially Arsene Wenger who has pulled off all the right moves this season. So there ends a wonderful season of English Football. Simply Great!! .
Arsenal may not be a legendary side yet...but they've definetly played like one this season

Hmmm....makes you really wonder...if a crappy team like Arsenal can go the entire season unbeaten, then just how good is the EPL? I honestly can't see Arsenal surviving in the La Liga or the Serie A...and if recent results suggest anything, not even the Ligue 1 (French). Yet, here we are with this team that, if commentators are to be believed has won the "best league in the world". Err.......
Lampard is out of Chelsea. Apparently he feels (and I dare say rightly so) that he deserves as good a pay (not better, mind you) than the big "stars", and Roman Abramovich, Kenyon and co. think otherwise. He's targetting a move to Juve or Inter if his agent is to be believed. Good. Serie A should really show just how good he is...or whether like Vieira, he too is an aberration that only exists in the English game....
At the end of the day, congratulations to Arsenal and their supporters......but really, where are they where it really counts? Where are they in Europe????
And yeah, makes you wonder, if Arsenal can be thought of as "legends" (Bunghole Wenger's words" - yes, I detest that guy...worst manager in the world) then where does that leave the achievements of the great Milan team (1 and a half seasons unbeaten in all competitions, not just Serie A but also UCL, Leagu Cup etc.....MvB was voted World Footballer of the Year AND European Footballer of the Year in that period), Real Madrid of the 50s (5 wins in 6 yrs in UCL - 1 RU + La Liga every year)? Really puts a perspective on things doesn't it?

Mike | Ok Here we go again
Mike, why are you bent on comparing Arsenal with teams from the La Liga and the French League. I thought we settled that issue some time back .
Arsenal are not the richest club in the premiership, They have not gone on any spending binge this season, they have used the least number of players in the first team and after all this they have remained unbeaten. That is evidence of how well they have played in the EPL (Maybe not the most skillful league but definetly the most high pressure) . And when Arsene says they are legends, he is saying it from the English Perspective. C'mon how many EPL teams can dream of equalling this record.let alone beating it .
And regarding Europe. it think this is just the platform Arsenal needed to aim for greater glory. Seriously speaking they would have definetly progressed much further in the UCL this year if not for the relentless number of fixtures they had to play in quick succession.
Yep it definetly puts things in perspective . When MVB has to go back all those years to try and belittle Arsenal's current performance and given Mike's all round knowledge of the game, It definetly says something
