@PSL
Completely agree that Arsenal do need better defenders - especially the central ones. I dont think Senderos is worth playing in the first team - not yet anyways. It reminds me of a certain Boularouz for Chelsea. Also getting the red or giving away stupid freebies.
Punishment for Hleb playing in at defense ROTFL
Arsenal need to do quite a lot before the season begins.
Cheers.

It was decided pretty much last season. Ever since Lehmann got the bench.
Almunia is first team but not really sure who are the substitute and the reserve keepers.
Almunia is good enough. But the being one of the big four and with a particularly weak defense, I think they could do better.
What do arsenal fans say?
Cheers.

Fabianski....
Although there are rumours that he is looking at Boruc.
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Unless you're Man Utd, in which case you let the other teams get ahead and then start sprinting as they all fall apart.

Villa has quashed rumours of him joining Liverpool and Chelsea...says he is happy at Mestella and want to focus solely on the Euro now..!!
How many times have we heard a player saying that..n by August he shall hopefully be a Red...( or a blue ??!!)
Also, Risse has finally joined Roma....wish his last moment with Liverpool was not the own goal...anyways, he has been a great servant....esp his free kick against Man United...!!!

clubs are behind him cause he is a very good striker and he has proved that last season. he may not be world class yet but if he learns how to beat the offside trap and don't miss sitters he will be world class. with him being still 24 yrs of age he has time on his side.
but what you have said is correct. adebayor of 2007 and ade of 2008 are entirely different. with some more improvement coming season he will be another of those wenger's unearthed diamonds. another of those wenger's gifts to world of football
also he terrifies defenders. what with the likes of ferdinand and terry saying he is one of the toughest strikers to play against.
i say let ade give us one more 30 goal season and sell him off for 30+m cause there are others gems waiting to get on the stage ala eduardo, bendtner, vela and walcott.

I respectfully disagree. Adebayor, according to me, has maxxed out. Thats it. He was never a good finisher. The positives to his game has been the better use of physical aggression and better runs. Both of which he has made full use of and I really dont think he can do more. He is no Torres nor is he a Drogba who'll step up and take on a team on his own. I'd think Wenger might offload him and try to find a better player.
Adebayor is considered tough to play against because of his build. But he could do squat in the big games against United, Chelsea or Liverpool. Though against United, he did get into some good positions.
I maybe proved wrong, but thats for anything in footie.

thing is similar things have been said about him last season. that he dunno how to get into good positions and how to hassle the defenders and how to get down the long balls etc. he improved those aspects of the game considerably and proved many doubters(even many arsenal fans thought buying him was a big mistake) wrong. and chances are he will improve at making runs and shooting and i dunno how any one can say he has maxed out untill he goes a full season without improving anything.
all i am wondering is what signs did he show to indicate that he is maxed out ?
Cheers,
Deepu.

I usually see whether a player has skills that can be furthur developed. Like for example, Rooney has excellent dribbling abilities but rarely uses them now. Same way, Adebayor is playing to the maximum of his abilities. Maybe his finishing can improve a bit but on the whole it'll always be erratic. You can't ADD a skill.. you can just develop the one's you have....
