Well it's because Misha is to Bear in Russian what Sheru is to Lion/Tiger in India.

Also "Bear" represents Russia so it's an obvious choice for both animal and name of the mascot

The Cosplay links are something different .. not the Misha we have in mind..

But you gave me a great lead..

:Fade-col: It used to really cool glossy magazine. Especially I can never forget its typical smell. It used to smell totally different. I liked all the activities (like glueing some stuff etc.) they used to give. And especially the games in the last page...

Absolutely loved those mags. I have 3-4 issues in my native place.I remmber there used to be a comic about a wolf and a rabbit.

They dont make them like those anymore......

Many amazing comics and mags of old have dissapeared......

Target (one of the best)
Chandammama
Indrajal comics.......

In those days there was no cable and books were all we could turn to....but now its a sad state of affairs.........:(

*Wow* you're the first person over the course of this thread as well as among the hundreds I've asked, to actually own a copy! Would it be possible for you to scan it someday and post it? You would make hundreds of hearts glad!

I know it's asking for too much, but you'd be a hero

Absolutely true, man.. Some things are just perfect.. even now in my mind I can think of those Misha issues.. I remember Winnie the Pooh in it, the Wolf, the School Kid, the Space series.. The articles.. I first learnt what a stencil was when they wrote "Galileo created a perfect circle without a compass.. " I remember another article about kids aeromodelling in a park in Moscow.. Totally fascinated me then!

Such tiny things.. childhood memories. I wonder how I'll react to seeing an actual copy again; especially one I've read before..

I too remember this magazine
must be in 4th or 5th standard.
I first read it at a doctor's clinic, and then later
had a subscription for quite a few years.........
.......yeah the paper was of really good quality ...... and yes
it had quite a peculiar smell.
