for a long time i Was thinking of having a birthday thread for lesser mortals, who are not so famous and cant afford to have Individual birthday threads.....keep wishing...

well i think if u want to wish someone without opening a thread pm is there..my concern is that this thread will become a spamming paradise...where ppl will post 30 budday wishes a day..

dunno abt da utility of such a thread coz everyone is famous n a bigger mortal in his/her own right..

I think PG is a lot more benevolent with the server space that you might think he is. And I don't think any of the mods are of the diabolic lot who go about locking any thread as soon as a Ctrl+F doesn't yield "CAT". So go ahead an open a thread if you know someone and geniunely want to wish him a great birthday. I am sure many posters do not know the user well enough but still wish out of geniune good will. Sure way to liven up someones day.

yeah.. very true.. n PG mentioned in one of his posts that bday threads will definitely stay.. so if u wanna wish someone, do open a thread.. mods certainly wont lock them..

Well there are on an average 25 people with their birthdays everyday...
How about I go on starting a thread for every single one of them...
That will make my post count go up and make me a few more friends.....
Hmmm... maybe we all should do that!!!!
Otherwise wish everyone on pms and keep a few threads to post birthday wishes...

Ofcourse since most of us havent finished Bschool yet... we can pretend that we are stupid....

first of all happy b'day to all of u who have b'day today/
dont u think....that wasting the bandwidth is, if not crime .....a mistake at least..what happens to all b'day threads...they all go to dump the next day.....if we can delete them after a week..well might work...majority of us live in metros...and have broadband and other tech. things ....well i am not aware(i am not a techie) ...but its really frustrating to open pagalguy in a reomote town ....like my home town M'pur ....i travelled last week to moradabad in up and allepey in kerla and trust me....i cudnt open pg....i have heard that if any site having less data its open fast....anyway its all ur choice....just to satisfy one's personal ego or whatever....we waste bandwidth......i reiterate i have zero knowledge of software i might be wrong ......but atleast wishing everybody on one thread will create less clutter for guys like me...who go to threads originated a year ago....page by page and find atleast 3 b'day threads on every page.....and all futile after a week...
i invite mods to delete my earlier two threads which are almost dead now...."hyderabad blues" and "apprentice coming to india"

i too raised this point sometimes back in suggestion thread...but i got a reply that if u hate bday threads stay away from them...

so its better tell me ur bday..i'll start a bday thread for u and u can start mine..i have signed this pact with sibs...
