Management Quota in B-School - 28-05-2003, 08:31 PM

Hey guys and gals,

Do you guys have idea about management quota in B-Schools? I will appreciate if you guys can take on these questions for me regarding management quota.

What is the eligibility criteria?
What is the charges/fees usually?
Which colleges/insitutes have these kind of quota?
How the seats been allotted?

Thanks and regards

Santosh

there is no special criteria for a mangement qouta seat,
u have to pay almost double the amt. of fees as in the regular case. almost all institutes have this, like Amity, welingkar, IMI, Fore, IMT,SCMHrd etc......
u just have to fill the form and contact the right person for that.

Management Quota is an official backdoor. The management is able to get away by charing double the fees, but legally. Not all institutes have a Management Quota. I think all the Symbiosis institutes have a management quota. They even print the fees in the brochures distributed to the students.

LOL talking of Axe Effects a signature can have

for a change... let us all sleep on our respective tummy's and leave Allwins tummy for his future kids

I mailed azad regarding management quota and this is what his reply is. I am pasting it for common benefit of everyone... invaluable advise as usual

most of the private collegs do offer management quota seats ....but
since u are frm a middle class background ( not a rich -buisness class )so
i can tell u tht it will be a big hole in ur pocket normal collegs in CET
(WELINGKAR etc)ask fr 2~4 lac over and above the ususal
fee ..prominent collegs like NMIMS / IMT /MDI ask fr 8~10 lac above the
4 lac in fees ...and at the times of the placemnet it may happen tht u
are reject fr u are frm a payment seat ..........these managemnet seats
are actually meant fr buisness class families where education is less
important then the degree but fr a person who wants the PLACEMNET i
would ssuggest u try ur level best to get thru CAT .

have a nice day everyone.

Cheers
