anybody has taken ACT any further...everybody jusss discussed ACT 1 scores and nothing further??


I m planning to take up the next one soon...lets see how better can I keep up with my ol' so called gud score.

expecting other guys to put up their scores for ACT 2,3,...watever they have taken so far

Hi Guys,

been too loaded with work to take the ACT 2 but had to take the ACT 3 in class today morning - scores pretty much the same.
VA - 28.33 Q-13 DI - 11.33 Total - 52.66
Any suggestion on improving DI are welcome - really a boost in that section.

r u chasing me or is it me who is after u??

in ACT 1 we scored almost equal - 69 and here we go again
ACT 3...I too scored 52.5

I thought i did terribly bad and ppl wud score somewhere around 70 again was moodless almost whole day!!! But, looks like everyone is sailing in the same boat.

My break up:

QA - 13
EU/RC - 19.5
DI/DS/LR - 20

Btw, where is IMS junta??? come and post your scores so as to analyse where we stand and how much we need to imporve?? AcesHigh?? whr r u?

wats ur stratgey dogmatrix for attending the paper? I mean the sequence of sections and time alloted blah blah...

Horrible caselet selection in the DI section.

As long as the chase results in both of us reaching the finishing line - i really dont mind as to whoz leading the way!! Just one correction - i was way behind you in the ACT1 - had scored only 54. So my scores havent really changed with ACT3 bringing home only 52.66

Here is how it looks section wise - VA:28.33 Q:13 DI:11.33. As far as the strategy goes - nothing really heavy: DI has always been my weak section so gave the first 7-8 mins to solving the DS (Sec 1-A) and then went on to VA. Spent about 40 mins here attempting 39 q's (which included 3 RCs). Next was quant where I moved at a snails pace - 13 q's in 35 mins (Sec II-B). Did not attempt any 1 mark questions in Quant - though my accuracy was 100% I think I gotta push my attempts to at least 20 in this section. And finally my nemesis DI - spent the rest of the time in DI. Attempted DS (Sec I-B), the Rice-Wheat graph based numerical and a couple of LRs. Not too many attempts and abysmal levels of accuracy reflected in the score for this section (11.33).

So as far as strategy goes - I'm not keen on experimenting too much. Will concentrate on improving my speed in QA and Speed+Accuracy in DI. Got a useful suggestion from a friend who attempted a whopping 120 questions (Score 67) - Says instead of solving the DI questions down to the last decimal (what i do), try and pick out the answer by just lookin at the graph. Accuracy may take a hit here but if you double the number of questions attempted your graph may show a 'bullish' streak!

hey guys, im in the classic batch, and ACTs havent started in class, but i took ACT 2 at home today

heres the breakup
section 1: 14
section 2: 12.33
section 3: 15.33
section 4: 17.67

total = 59.33
