hows the prep going on folks?
Finally am atleast attempting quant questions in double digit--it happened for the first time in this AIMCAT . though accuracy is just 50% in quants and over all accuracy is a big showdown too--silly mistakes always rule my attempts.
big tadeoff--if i dun increase atempts i end up wid low scores coz of real low attempts, if i increase attempts my accuracy ends up arnd 60-65%.
still long way to go.
how many daily hrs of prep?
for me since last 1 week its been 3-5hrs -- before that--its been dilly-dally all the way

Abt coaching institutes:
Roarks i can tell only abt TIME-- they started there operation in last week january this year.
faculty is Shwetank Malik(IIM indore alumni) and Shahna Roy(IIM-A alumni)...and others..one shatrughan sir has come from pathfinder(kane's institute).Shwetank n shahna r married to each other--n this wasnt known to most of us before we joined--that wud have made me suspicious abt the insti being run pretty much in 'chalta hai...sarkari' kinda attitude.
but they r very helping if u reach them personally.
not sure they the best in terms of teaching but pretty professional, n obviously TIME's material is wot matters more --especially the AIMCATS. nevertheless, faculty is quiet upto the mark--just there.

TIME bhopal's library has one impressive collection of books.thats the best part for me from the whole package.



roark u not preparing for this year's CAT--isnt it?
all this time someway or the other came to knew abt the big achievers from our city, but i've met gautam and deepak sikka 4-5 times personally, even played cricket once--they were my friend's batchmate at engineering college.
Gautam gaur is a dude in wotever he does n IIMA material written all over his personality.
Deepak sikka is the most hardworking chap i ever knew--almost scared me away to even think of CAT n even scared me away from GRE.hehe..but not meeting him since last one year--made me forget all the hardships.good that u reminded me--and believe me not done even 1% of as much as they put there souls in studies.

it gives immense pleasure to talk abt our city !!
i m glad to c ur replies and that u liked my post..believe me the names i mentioned are the one whom i know very welll as most of them are my friends and there are whole lot of other success stories..so do not underestimate Bhopalities.. we have long tradition of success and msaster blasters...

wobbling around 90-95%ile...
i am working in infy !!!

abt scores:-
and alli can say is that dont read too much into the scores but more imp is the strategy and continous improvement or atleast try towards improvement so that if nothign works then alteast you will know waht all doesnt works for you ...
which is what im focusing on..trying different thigns and making my best suit
coz i feel if we contiue to put all waht we have in us..we will make it on 20th november..

Ashish abt the trade off i can suggest you what i feel..
see if we are not attempting then its not even a fight so ultimately if u wanna make it you have to increase your attempt but not rashly rather slow n slow with confidence...
even my attempts are only 70 odd but in easy tests it shoots upto 90
so my take is although speed can never be compromised over the attempt but still you must push your self some how coz if we attempt less than 60 then we are out of race..so keep pushing with keeping accuracy in ur sleeves..i m sounding too gyani or theorotical??:whatthat:
and no i m not prasun jain
i placed a * agaisnt prasun as he is the only guy with work ex. hee hee
Deepak sikka, Prasun are my best buddies but im not from there college i.e UIT

roark--sorry dude, should have replied earlier.
I recieved CAT admit card yesterday--and dunno wot scared me soo much--really felt like i havent done anything in the neame of preparation--i tried to remember some of the realtively better scores that i got in AIMCATs but the number of bad scores simply out do the better ones.

really the key is to choose the sitters--n nevere ever miss the easy ones--mark the strengths n crack these sections thoroughly, and above all--cruise swiftly thru the easier sections.

Those in Bhopal, temme guys wot exam centres are u getting?
i got St.Joseph Coed,E-6,arera colony.
its just at a 10mins of walking,2 mins by my bike

anyone with the same centre as mine?

IIFT,XAT,XLRI,CAT.---thats it for now.
i plan to fill SNAP,SIBM,SCMHRD, may be FMS(not sure).
