Hi guys,

pls help me out --I had already paid up the iim-k fees(sent the 45000 DD---dont know whether it has reached --havent ot the mail from them as of yet)

Now, I have got an admission to iim-L --so really dont know wat to do??

the bank sugested to me that I say that the old dd is lost and take a duplicate dd made from them and then cancel that duplicate dd.--but then wat happens when my dd reaches the K ppl???

guys pls help--now realise wudnt have harmed to read some finance books as well

I got waitlisted in IIML. duno if I will get selected there (site says I will be intimated after May 15). So I am practically helpless till May 15 (cannot tell the IIMK guys to put me on hold, can I ;-) )

my situation is even worse friend..
cos ..i got an acknowledgement frm iim K on monday evening sayin that my DD reached them...
and yesterday i came to know abt the lucknow result..

what do we do now ?? as per the call letter given by K ..its clearly mentioned that the DD wud be a non refundable one.. but still want to give a try .. cos 45 k is not peanuts ..

me surely have decided to go to L.
But the problem is the iim-k dd amt.
any ideas??

I don't think they would refund the same pal. However you may try and talk to them. Frankly the chances are bleak...

If it was written in the offer letter that nothing out of those 45K will be refunded - then u can't do anything!!! And i don't think talking to them will help - coz they won't change rules for some people (then they'll have to refund the money to many people)!!

Even i tried to get refund from one of the institutes last year - even thought of going to the consumer forum - but there was no case!!! :(

So go ahead & enjoy ur life @ IIM L - thinking that the actual fee of IIM L was 45K more than the official figure

Hey,

I think you should call the IIM-K office and make sure you tell them that you want to withdraw. Also get in touch with some sudent in IIm-k (probably on this forum) and see if he can help you. Any relatives or aquaintances in Kozhikode could also go personally to K and do the needful.

Finally, even if nothing works, don't worry. I am sure that IIm-L is worth the extra 45K!
