Batch Profile is one of the important criteria for getting selected, the more unique your profile, the more chance you have of making it despite low percentile and stuff ....
Take the case of IIM C , last year they selected everyone from IIT KGP into their PGDCM (nearly 15-16 ppl) so everyone who had a call from C esp PGDCM started banking on it . .... and this time around they've called only 4-5 freshers from KGP .....
The fact is that there are a lot of good ppl competing for the same thing and hence the IIM's have the liberty to choose as they wish from the pool ....... speculating on good bad PI's wont reallly help ..... pure time wastage ..........
Just do ur ' Karm ' and have least expectations of the 'Fal' .....
Best Philosophy I believe .....

Mine was a cool interview...guess the inst for it was...XLRI.

As i sat don, one of the panelist took out my form read the Edu Quali for all of them Then just went to my work -ex, told my company's name to me and asked to explain what i do and whats the co. all about?

1-2 general questions picked out from my speech by each of them. And that was it.

Taking clue from my PI, i think they had in mind what ppl they r goin to choose this time. More of a work-ex guys. Ppl who dont had work-ex had to go thru stress interview and if they felt that e's good, the he'll b picked.

so it depends on how good u r on ur CV in the cool interviews, i guess

so what i think after reading thru these posts is that interview is bit of a lottery . but friends dont you think there is a case for it being less of a lottery. i mean if someone doesn't make it , he/she deserves to know what went wrong
