Hi,

I hae wrote first ACT and score is,

VA/RC ---------- 29.66

Qnt -------------- 16.00

DI/DS ----------- 23.33

Total ----- 69.00

Since I am taking IMS tests for the first time, I dunno what should be a descent score. If someone has taken it previously, plz let me know the level of the "performance bar".

All those who have started taking tests at IMS, keep putting up your score and carry on the discussions on all the doubts and difficulties. I hope it will help all of us.

hi euphoria i guess that first act was really easy i cud also score 68 and i guess as per ims reputation of setting tough papers this score shud be a real boost up.

Guys I hope u all know that IMS has opened up the 8 SIMCATs for Rs 1500....Even heard if u were a IMS student u will get it for 1200......

Also they have offers like...

ANY 1 free SIMCAT
ANY 2 SIMCATs for 500.,...
ANY 4 SIMCATs for 1000...

ALL 8 for 1500......

SIMCATs start on Aug 28.........

Guys I believe SIMCATs are the best MOCKs for the simple reason they r the toughest...
Also IMS is perhaps the one with the largest student base with students from Delhi,Mumbai etc...with quality students..i dont thinkl TIME or CareerLauncher will be able to provide such a NATIONALISED percentile score......as they dont have a strong student base from some of the prominent cities that produce IIM students.....let me know if i am wrong....

It seems IMS' free mock is only for the students who r in their pre-final year of college!

unfair but what can we do?

So we people who r writing cat this year will be deprived of a large well prepared student base in the first mock.

i wud certainly second scoobydoobydoo's views regarding the large base that IMS has, particularly in metros. Having said that, i wud say that the toughness level of their test series is way above the actual CAT which may be couner productive. In that respect TIME test series is the best. This is priyanka...I was ims regular student last year and even enrilled for enhanced correspondence this year..From my point of view and exp..this is the best inst for MBA prep...
Hope everyone has a right to speak their views...
Anyways....
As all ims students have started discussing here..I would like to know how many of u r giving only SimCATs not any other mock test...
I got to know from this forum that many people choose to take mock tests of two didd institutes...as ims simcats are tougher...in fact more than actual CAT..Many advises to take CL tests....
What abt u people..

i have seen the ims SimCAT ad...which says they'll conduct SimCat in 111 cities..including my city !! but when i went to get myself registered at local IMS center they told me that they wont be conducting SimCAT here...

hope they r not lying abt remaining 110 cities

dont loose hope
go to ims website and write to them at ims@imsindia.com regarding the centre and the regn.

this time around they do not accept any cash for regn.
they are only accepting dd in favour of ims education pvt limited payable at mumbai.
so u can register,dont worry
