Hi,
Can the seniors let me know something regarding this.
I worked in TCS for a year and then switched to a different company. I have a letter from TCS HR saying that I have worked in TCS for a year.. However since i havent paid the service bond..( this amounts to almost 60K) i have not got a formal letter from TCS..
I wanted to know if it is necessary for me to get a formal letter from TCS with all formalities done and completed before joining and for availing lateral placements option...I had the letter from TCS HR during interviews and the faculty was ok with it...
Pls let me know soon..
I got thru IIM Lucknow by the way..

Well, as far as my knowledge goes you should have a relieving letter & service certificate from the company to be eligible for laterals.
Pal, as it is you got thru IIMs, so pay up the 60K and complete the formalities.
All the best.

IIML requires only a Service certificate. SO if u have that from the HR do not worry about Releiving letter. Most companies dont ask for that. But if they do background check u might be caught btw Im also a bond breaker.
