Hello All,
I just recieved a mail from SPJIMr saying :-
"As per the details in your application for our PGDM Program, we find
you suitable for pursuing our Master's in Information Technology (MIT)
program, which is offered in collaboration with Virginia Tech (VT)
University, USA. The SPJIMR-VT MIT is a unique one and a half year full time
program, which will prepare participants to Implement and manage IT
solutions projects conforming to international quality standards.
The highlight of the program is that ten courses are taught by Faculty
from Virginia Tech and five by SPJIMR Faculty. The participants who do
well in the course will have an opportunity to pursue MBA from Pamplin
School of Business, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, USA with scholarships.
On successful completion you will be awarded MIT Degree from Virginia
Tech and Post Graduate Diploma in Systems Management (PGDSM) from SPJIMR."
They have asked me to confirm my interest in the program, after which I will be directly called for an interview.
Is there anyone else hwo has received a similar mail? Does anyone know what kind of program this is? Is it a recognised one?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Does the 1.5 yrs course include the MBA from VtEch or not .. i mean u will get a integrated PGDSM degree with MBA or a PGDIT degree which frankly is not very good ... Quote: |

Have not applied for any other course at SPJIMR.
The 1.5 yr course is an 'MIT' (Masters in Information Tech), which will be conducted at SPJIMR and will have faculty fron SPJIMr and VT.
Students who excel in this course will be given an opportunity to study MBA at Pampli.
The site says that there are a 50 odd seats,. I did not find any mention of any alumni, so I GUESS its a new course.

the content of my mail says ;
We find you eligible for the Track 1 of the program, which is for working professionals with over 2 years of experience. In this option you will be required to attend contact sessions at the Institute, being taught by faculty from Virginia Tech. There will be 4 contacts of 3 weeks each, at an interval of 3 months, during the entire 18 months program. During the off-contact period, the curriculum is administered online using Centra-symposium. You will be provided executive accommodation on campus during the contacts (inclusive in fees).Hey bond_from_bihar....how did u find out abt the fees....tried to find someinfo from the site...but all the links on the relevant page maps to those of SP JAIN original...info page.....in other words ....there is no info unique to this program...like placements...alumni etc any enlightened soul plz help !!!!!!

It says the following in my mail. "We find you eligible for the Track 2 of the program, which is the
full-time on-campus option. You will be provided accommodation on campus as
for the participants of other program on payment." Does anyone know the difference between track 2 and track 1? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
