I BEG TO DIFFER BOSS.

Nirma is definitely better than FORE, SIIB , WELINGKAR in respect to its infra or its facilities. However if you go thru the latest average salary of these instis:

FORE : 3.5 L
SIIB - 3.25 L
WELINGKAR - 3.0 L
NIRMA - 2.31 L ( Acc to www.indiabschool.com)

I hv no fig for kj , BUT YES IMI is atlear two times better than NIRMA, dont fool yourself by comparining these two instis ( IMI and NIRMA ).

Last but not least, I hv been selected in NIRMA, and SIIB as well, but will be joining FORE if IMI or MICA waitlist doesnt clear. B'Coz for me placement and faculty is more important than infra, cool hostels, and good campus. I hv great examples ( FMS.JBIMS) in front of me.

And yes, do you guys know, last year 10 people ( abt 10% ) of the batch at NIRMA joined BPO .

Cheers

Ritesh

check ur records - 30-03-2005, 12:39 AM

hi ritesh

i don know from how u came to know these figures!!!! the average salary u quoted for nirma might b true but it would be atleast 3 years old figure!!! surprised?? wel let me tell u that if u c the total no of students it turns out to be 54!!!! and since last couple of years nirma has increased its batch strength to 120..... this year the minimum salary offered to our seniours at nirma campus was more than 2.3!!!!!! now don tell me u know more about nirma than me after all i m the placement committee member out here.

what i would suggest is that u should visit the college's official website to find out the average salary and all. also go thro the list of recruiters to c the quality of companies visitin the campus as nos can be forged but names cant be. we had companies like pepsi, tata tele, polaris, honeywell, ingersoll rand, tata motors, bajaj, ashok leyland, o&m, shoppers stop, pantaloons, karvy, icici, hdfc, tcs visiting our campus. now tell me is the figure of 2.3 possible with such companies visiting? also infra is basic necessity for a good b-school as when executives from corporate come to visit us they get highly impressed with the kind of library, data bases and other facilities. i do not mean to say that our faculty is not good.... but i want to underline the importance of good infrastructure. so please correct ur decision which is based on wrong information. this is very important decision which cant be based on prejudices or hearsay.

i would again say nirma is better than fore and imi u can disagree with me.... why don u ask some neutral person like ims guys regardin this??? and please don make the mistake of comparing mica and nirma as mica is offering communications so if u r interested in advertising u should go to mica and nowhere else.... so do some brainstorming and take a wise decision. pl feel free to contact if u have any doubt.

hey jaldeep,
thaks for the reply.

hey ritesh,
which b-school u belong to??? i think you carry some prejudice against NIRMA.
i had a chat with IMS centre manager regardin college selection and he told m that nirma is better than KJ,fore,IMI n other colleges.if you look at the infra they have and the feethey charge you understand the motive n te mofit. NIRMA is not a money makin college, has a very clean reputation.i think you should talk to TIME,IMS,CL people they will give you som real info.
but dont forget to tell us about the source of your previous info.it sounds like copied the placement section on i i p m n pasted in nirma thread . anywez, be careful while postin crap.:grab:

Hi,

First of all, what i posted wasnt a crap, it is from the following website:
http://www.indiabschools.com/profile..._placement.htm

Please go through it. Secondly, I m not from any bschool. justy planning to join one.
Boss, I m an engineer working with a MNC for last few years, and what I hv cm across the corporate fraternity in and around Delhi, no one even knows abt NIRMA.

Cmmon yaar, dont you think Ahemadabad has some serious locational disadvantage if compared to Delhi or Mumbai.

Even if I agree, that this is a three yr old fig, it is pathetic.
No offence intended, as even i m in a dilemma right nw, hwever, if we try to be neutral and then figure it out, for most of us IMI > FOR= NIRMA = KJ.

All have their own advntages and disadvnt.

Please pour in ur views.

ThaNX
