hii every1

now tht most of us r thru with our interviews .. and given tht IIMs have increased the intake frm this yr... can ne1 'speculate'

on how many final calls may b issued this time by IIMs..
have they also increased no. of interview calls proportionally with increase in intake ??

no. of seats as v know r IIMA - 260 ......... IIMB - 180 -> 260 ......... IIMC - 250 ( or 260) not sure...... IIML - 240 -> 260 ..... IIMI - 120 ( this is last yrs and i dont think they hav increased this yr) ......... IIMK - 120 -> 180

so based on no. of final calls issued last yr and keepin in mind increase in intake... can v have a bit of speculating here

as far as i know ... last yr final calls issued were as follows

IIMA - around 270 and no waiting list
IIMB - around 270 final calls and wait list cleared till around no. 30 ( this was for 200 seats.. this yr seats hav increased...)
IIMC - not sure but i think it shud b around 360 with no waitlist
IIML - 500+ final calls ... no wait list ( but 20 seats hav increased this yr.. )
IIMI- 180 final calls and wait list cleared till around 45
IIMK - no idea but think it shud b around 400 final calls ( seats hav increased this yr frm 120 to 180)

hey i dont think there has been ne inc in seats at K.infact during my interview i asked the panel bout it...they said it's all speculation....correct me if i m wrong...

iimc final calls are around 400-425..

i dunno y the panelists said tht.. but this increased intake was very much in the news and i read it in various newspapers ... Economic times ( yeah.. i read it too

) and v even had a discussion on this on PG ...
if someone cud throw sm more light on this plz ...

500+ calls for L , idon't believe it
it makes conversion ratio almost 2:3/3.5
that way iim i'(180 (even though seats r less) seems most difficult to convert since there r 1000 calls frm Indore (as per my info)

yeah thts true... usually IIML has a waitlist but last yr they gave lots of final calls and so there was problem of over capacity and there was no waitlist... this info i got frm PG forum itself...

guys,
these total no adds seats under reservation too (15% sc + 7.5% st). so the conversion rate in this category may differ from the trend in general one.

Don't A and C have waiting lists too? I suppose they have shorter ones, but they surely do have them. I know a guy last year who was first on the waiting list at IIMA and he was finally offered admission. I also know another guy around 10 or something who wasn't.

depends on number of final calls issued... for IIMA , waitlist is very miniscule if at all... i dunno bout last yr ( i guess first few ppl mite hav made it thru waitlist)... but last to last yr 277 final calls were issued and there was no wait list.... one yr b4 tht number of final calls issued were exactly equal to number of seats and so first 5 ppl frm waitlist made it ...
