Hi
Answers to your query:
1.The group was supposed to be a 7 member team-two were absent.
2.I was the only one from finance-rest were all engineers.
3.As I was seated at fag end of the semicircle order and spoke only to make suggestions,I had started jotting down on the white sheet as well(Pink was for thoughts).Though its not advisable as the profs were pretty strict. And yes-The conclusion has to be in paragraph form.
4.No,They didnt ask anything about Interests or Hobbies or just about anything extra.
The GD was very noisy and I had made 3 suggestions to the group. They were like:
1.Since the student was caught cheating for the first time and seeing his background,we need to punish him liniently...ask him to reappear in the same exam and not expel him from the college. This will also keep Prof Gupta (the prof who caught him cheating) at bay as some sort of punishment is being imparted.
2.Hunger strikes and severe modes of protests should not be undertaken as it might tarnish the image of the college(as its a large technical college in delhi).Hence,a peaceful way of solving the matter internally should be adopted. This will avoid negative publicity as well.
3.To ensure, this type of practice doesnt happen in the future,we must streamline the processes that define the system.
The student board needs to propose a Ethical Memorandum that will clearly define the code of conduct for the students.Punishments for all types of crimes will be clearly mentioned so as to avoid any future mishap. This will be enforced and implemented in the coming session.
These were my suggestions which was also the conclusion for the entire group as none of my group members had much to say except sympathise with Rajesh.
It came to my notice later that all my group members had been pointing towards me and calling Ms Code of Conduct.
Thats the GD session which left me with laryngitis....an oscar winning performance I guess!
