Hi CAT junta frm Mumbai

This is Anubhav here. i have given the CAT 2wice before and this will be the third time i'll be gunning for it.. so u can say, i have some experience(bad ones) with the CAT.

Very first time, i got thru with 93%ile and last CAT saw a good enough performance with 98.2%ile . But then, i didnt get any calls from IIMs and since i had applied only to IIMs, getting calls from any other institute is out of the question.

I have done my engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune and m currently working near Vashi for a software company. I had joines IMS, Pune 2 years back and it didnt make any difference (mayb i was plain dumb..!!). sO I HAVE ims material with me and i have just joined Career forum postal course(thats was yesterday), so anyone needing help of any sort, just ask me out..

For all u CAt junta taking the CAt for the first time, well, for now, concentrate on the basics and find out what areas u r weak in. Brush up those concepts first and u have ample time to do tht as of now.. Thats what i would advise..!!

Right now, i m all set to be gunning for CAT this year.. Just hope i get thru IIMA..

Hi,

nice to hear from you. Well, yes i read somewhere that perseverance pays.. and i don't think i m gonna let go of my dream of "lakshya_iim_ahd" that easily..

Better late than never.. what say..

CF has got a variable pricing strategy. the basic postal course starts off at 4959 bucks(that includes the 10.2% surcharge as taxes), and then goes all the way upto 7091 bucks. But u can upgrade it anytime u want to and all u have to do is that just pay up the difference.
I have taken the basic course and lets see, depending on the time i can get(after spending 12 hours a day on the job for 5 days a week) i might upgrade it ..

So thats about it. And now that i also have IMS material, it can firther enhance my prep. I might just join the IMS test series since they r good and give u r practical standing in the crowd. Thats abt it i guess with respect to my prep

We surely will keep in touch. MAybe exchange news every now and then

wel.... so what firm u working @? welll.... i too have placement @ wipro... but planning to chuck it... coz a lot of slogging involved.... looking for some other 9-5 job ni bbay!! HELP PLZ!!!!

I forgot to mention that i m working for Hexaware technologies. The office is at Mahape near Vashi.

Talking about WIPRO, well, u do have a pretty decent offer. Be very careful before u plan to chuck it. Coz it shud not happen tht u repent ur folly later. Agreed, the initial year is very rigorous. At least thats what happens usually a u have to prove urself in the company the very first year..!!

So, be very careful while deciding on this..!!

well... ya u are bang on target... have to prove myself... n that needs me to put in hours at office.... n if i do dat.. CAT05 preps will lag behind.... so dont wanna take the risk!

well.... i just had siemens in our campus today... got thru the apti..... now the tech interviews is next week..... so fingers crossed!!! pray for me.... n i will get thru!!

Well, All the very best for ur campus placermnts. May god be with u and i wish u all the luck that u need..!!

But then, If u get that job, i would say, WIPRO is still a better bet than Siemens only if u have a software bent of mind. however, if u r looking at hardware and mobiles with embeded systems rechnology, Siemens is the place..!!

So, go ahead and tame the lion. CAT is still a good 8-9 months away..!!

Attach everything in life as if your survival depended on it. If u do so, there are slim chances that u might fail..!!

i am not sure if we have met before but good to interact with u.

for the intro,
i am gauri joglekar . have done my B.M.S from S.I.E.S (NERUL) in 04.

took cat in 04 but was a disaster di was the culprit

could manage 84.18%le only.so obviously no calls through CAT

got a call from SCMHRD but couldnt make it to the final list
am gunning for cet big time and managing an SIBM call in between.
lets see what happens.

will start of with 05 preparation big time from 1ST MARCH

so,till the guys,
