SDM-IMD Mysore.. Final Calls Out!!!

Hey ppls...
Iam more happy abt having this occasion to start a new thread @ PG which is less likely to banned by the mods than reaching u to convey the news of me being given a final call from SDM-IMD Mysore..

The Group I was into for the GD wasn;t competitive enough - Topic given to us was " The Cellphone Revolution - A boon or a bane "..

I was around 20 minutes late after reporting time to reach my centre.. for which i was severely reprimanded during the PI.. Other unexpected questions I had to face were.. Practical Applications of the Fibonacci series.. and the reasons behind y I had regularly been bunking xams in my engineering..

So.. I have a final call for now.. Iam looking more keenly @ FORE interview scheduled on 18th at bangalore..
May i know wat the junta feels abt joining SDM-IMD coz Iam really not content.. plz don question me to y i bought my application form! Can someone enlighten plzz???

And can I meet more PGites who have confirmed their final admission to SDM-IMD.. plz do share ur thoughts on joining the institute...

Remember the the wrapper which contained the prospectus.. That was where I found my application number... Unfortunately.. without ur application no: u'll be helpless.. or else y don u chek up the GD/PI call letter.. That too contains ur application no:....

Ha HA hA Ha Ha.......AT LAST I got 1 final call............About the college, it is a pretty good one....not in the ranks of IIMs though. It is a decent one and cost effective too. People like me desperate to join this year can opt for this. Die Hard IIM aspirants......All the best for 2005. Am still pinning my hiopes for ICFAI Hyd. The avg salary for SDM is 3.00 for the year 2004 with 100% placement and the highest salary being 4.8 LPA.

First of all congrats on getting a final call!!

First my intro.....have been in Mysore for the past 5.5 years and I have some info on SDM Mysore. It is not the kind of college one wud want to join if u have a job in CTS. I had posted abt SDM on one of the threads.....dont remember which one......will post the url later. As for the campus and infrastructure it is pretty decent. It is touted as one of the upcoming B-schools but as on 2day I dont how an MBA from SDM Mysore is gonna add any value add to ur career.

I seriously doubt the salary that u have quoted......(I cud be wrong here as I am kinda out of touch now). I know some guys who joined last year...will try to get some info abt the actual picture there. I wud advise you to go talk to the students over there.......tell them that u have a job in CTS and try to find out if its worth going to SDM leaving a job in CTS. I dont think the avg sal here is 3.00, 2-3 of my frenz who got into SDM had very poor acads and had cat %iles in the range of 70-75, one of my frenz had a cat %ile of 55 with 0 score in QA and he almost landed a final call....(I dont mean to look down on these %iles but thats the kind of peers u will have there). I also have my doubts on the Industry interaction aspect.How many companies wud be interested in picking such guys and paying out sals > 3.00?? Check out the companies where ppl go for their summers, that shud pretty well give u an idea.

Going to SDM might make sense for freshers who are despo to get in this year but for guys who are currently in gud companies.....No way

me too got a final call from SDM...

well abt the college...not in the big league..definitely....but its not bad either...the max salary has been 4.25 lk...which was quoted by the admission coordinator during the briefing....campus is new and good... think placements is pickin up...a huge improvement frmom last yrs wen they had an old office style campus.....
