my gd/pi for MDI went on fine.. atleast i was satisfied by interview performance.. had my gd/pi at IISc blore on 26th at 11.30.. the GD was a case study of 2 pages abt a CMD of an iron & steel mftging company firing his managers n later re-instating them... lotsa characters n data in the case i cldn't even manage to read the final para(had the crux of case here)... the discussion lasted for jus 6 mins as all we guys din discuss further
(how cld we do tht when we din read the entire case )
... gave a 1 min summary n later was given 5 mins to summarize on a piece of paper..
i was 1st in the panel for the interview...
1. started off wit the lady in the panel asking abt tell me abt ur self.
2. asked abt work-ex
3. do u want mba jus for the degree beside u r name
4. y entrepreneur
5. diff between entrepreneur n manager ( a fair chap in the panel had gud sense of humour)
6. under grad specialisation n diff between electrical n electronics
7. relation between them both
8. wat do u know abt inverters ? n draw the output waveform of the ac voltage
9. name 2 famous electronic companies
10. name an mnc competitor for motorola
11. whoz the IT minister in india(i wasn't sure abt arun shourie bein the IT minister.. so din answer)
12. which company compaq merged wit ? n y ?
13. do u think pepsi n coke shld merge ? justify ! (told'em all crap)
14.did u hear abt 3M ( din knew wat it was )
15. which country does nokia belong to ?( blunder.. told them i thnk sweden)
16. do u thnk GD is a fair criteria for selection ?(told'em it depends upon wat characteristics in a candidate they were luking at)
on the whole the interview went on fine n i cld maintian a gud sense of humour along wit the panel
.. interview went on for 10 mins... but luking at their GD/PI schedule i feel the result is pre-decided n the entire process is jus a formality..
