it is gud to c that the th elist is growing day by day.hey sandee u r doin gr8 work.and it is gr8 idea to have a meeting in the first week of march.and about joining the institute i have thought of joining time coaching institute only due to the feedback which i have recieved from most of the guys out here.can we have contact numbers of all the members so that it can be much easier to contact

I see a lot of people here who have attempted cat once already.

Well, I have attempted the xam twice now .

And i think i now realize what is required to crack CAT, so planning to give a final shot this year

yeah every one would be interacting only through forum or yahoo groups. contact numbers its totally based on that particular individual if he wants to maintain contacts through contact numbers then its upto him provided the oppostite person agrees.

go thru the basic concepts and complte everything by aug before mocks start

Has ne body started preparing?
I havent and dont plan to start seriously till May .

Before I start I need to find out what went wrong the last two times.(2003-61 and 2004- 93 )

Since there are ppl with CAT- ex I think we can all help each other to find out what went wrong.

Hi Friends,

I think its time to share my view point about the exam.

The first and foremost important thing about cracking CAT is "one should always have his focus on identifying thier weakness in the exam".

Intially start with what your conscience got to say regarding your weakness and start with that. Try to become strong is weak area and become the strongest in stronger area is what i got to advise.

Apart from this i will try to share my knowledge of how to plan about the upcoming days.

By considering the last years time schedule we should be having time till july end to do what ever we want. From them onwards we will be writing MOCKCATS.

By that time if we had not build our strengths, it would be very difficult from then onwards to improve ourself.

The reason would be that most of those guys who have build their strengths intimidate us to great extent by their performance. Believe me it will have a huge negative effect. You will not be able to get your focus right once you get larger ranks in those exam. From then Subconscious mind says that you are not for this years CAT. That is how i had felt and i think it had been nearly the same with all the experienced campaigners.


This is what i am personally planning for myself and some can tailor it to meet thie r strengths and weakness.

Currently:

1 - Verbal Section ( I am weak in Reading & Grammar)
2 - DI Section (Ok. But got relatively less score than quant)
3- Quant (Good)

By the end of July:

1 - Verbal Section (Good)
2 - DI Section (Better)
3- Quant (Best)

Once we set this time as target we should get into details.

Some how i felt that if you are fastest reader in the Country you are half way through CAT. As i feel so i am working towards it.

Some might not understand the importance of it but i hope most of you guys are with me in this issue.

Intially i be will focussing on improving reading speed and Grammar.
Once that is done.................
Conc on completing the tables (20*20)......
After that start reading some speed maths book and digest the concepts


This should take us to some where to middle of march if we start from now.

Later Start doing the all the basic books give by Time (as i have them) and plan to complete them by mid april.

You got to work on tests given by time guys last year and in parallel you can Try to redo the basics in best possible way with emphasis on shorter methods......

I hope this should take you towards the end of may.

From then i plan to do various questions available to me from last year exams of Time and want to come out with shorter approach for all problems.

By this time it would take us to june end and then i think TIME will conduct their first AIMCAT.

From then onwards your only emphasis should be to do every problem in the shortest way............always have your focus on doing it in that way and it will definetely take you near you Dreams.

cat 04 saw the 100%ile guy from hyderabd and there one i know from delhi..
know thier marks? 108 and 88.. simply superb.period.

lets see if we can achive that. btw arent we all competitors?
