Need your help......

I made thru final mdi list..
Other calls SPJ (not in first list), iim indore (interview was really screwing)

I have 32 months of workex in one of the leading IT companies. I am really in a dilemma to join MDI or not. I know for sure the MDI is a good institute. I am also not sure whether another try is worth in the sense are IIMs worth another year of effort though the end result is not guaranteed.....

Please get back to me with your inputs.....

Congrats to all of those who made to the final list.. Those who mentioned their WL no.s here , plz b assured these no.s what u hav quoted are not that bad to get cleared.. I said bad bcoz WL no. is always a little bad compared to confirmed...

But plz b relaxed as IIMs r yet to come out so this is sure that these no.s wud b cleared...

And as far as few querries abt MDI r concerned, frens b relaxed, ... INfrastructure.. good
Placemnts V good, faculty v good.. so just enjoi and keep this guy in ur frequent contact books..

Just to correct u pagal guy.....last yr. WL went upto 39 only.confirmed......i know coz one of my frds got struck in WL 56 last yr.......this yr they hav given 252 confirmed admits & seats r around 100-120.......so waiting list till 50 hav a chance.

My name is not even in the waiting list this yr.

Exactly my thoughts. I too had someone who went in with such a WL list. 50 is too easy to clear at MDI. 1/4th of the guys will leave for the IIMs and the rest 1/4th will leave to take a shot at the IIMs next year

hi sachkal,

guess u should base ur decision on ur future plans. are u looking for a change, as in sales/mktg/hr etc? if u r then MDI is a good idea

if ur in a top IT co. for 3 yrs, i dont think u'll see much of an increase on the salary front post-mba

seems a bit risky to me.

after reading all the horror stories about salaries et. al. posted on the forum, im wondering if doing an mba is a good idea

take ur time and think about it, if im rite last date for payment of fees for MDI is the 1st of May...

ps. don't worry im a neutral party. i didnt make it thru the main list or the wait list at MDI. so in have nothing to gain if u drop out

I am a new user but this site is real cool...I got calls from IIM I and K and my percentile is 97.5%. i got a final call from MDI..will it be worth for a guy of my percentile to wait for the resuts of Indore..
