CAT 2005 - Platform to enter IIM A,B or C - Most Important - 21-01-2005, 08:41 AM

Hey frens this thread can be utilised by all of us for each and everything we know and want to know about the prep for CAT 2005.
Lets make this thread that makes our entry into IIM A,B or C smooth.

1) Post the strategies for preparation
2) Schedules that are workable
3) Expected CAT Question structure in 2005
4) Upload any past questions that would be useful
5) Upload any questions that you are confused
6) Upload any questions that you think is important in terms of CAT 2005.

The most advantageous point of this thread would be that we do not have to go through the list of threads for helping ourselves for CAT 2005.

How about picking about editorial articles from good online newpapers
if junta find good articles they can then post them up here along with
questions that one makes.

we can also have a discussion on these topics.

All of you please ensure that you get reading speed and comprehension ready as fast as possible..That is the most critical part...because of the fact that...The whole paper would have about 30 pages of material...so dont you think it is important that you can read as fast as possible..
One more bit of info...Did you know that marking on the OMR sheet with about 100 attempts would take about 15 minutes...Imagine if you can perfect the art of marking on the OMR sheet in about 5 seconds...That would mean you could do the marking in 7-8 minutes..(seven minutes saved is valuable ?)
So read as much as you can ......and if you do maths and DI ...just focuss on accuracy for the time being

Well, I have an issue with the title...
Why Only IIMA, B, C

I for one would go for L,I, K... No double thoughts about that deceision....

Rahul has raised the most imp issue as far as CAT or any other MBA aptitude exam is concerned--ppl sometimes the DI qs r so long n complicated that u just can not compensate 4 the time u lose in just understanding wat is to be done n then hoprrors of horrors u realiuse u dunno know that concept or r not comfortable with it!!!!
So read dear aspirants read a lot--and not just read ..imbibe wat ur reading..comprehend it bcoz in CAT 25/50 marks r surely gonna be on RC n then u hav critical resaoning n parajumbles n blah blah blah..
So reading speed is most imp---Remember do not speed read just 4 reading!!!!
Rahul has raised intersting point about marking the Omr BUT 15 or even 10 min 4 marking 100 qs that makes it abt 6-9 sec 4 one qs--thoda jyada nahin hai kya?? or may be me lots n lots of practice so i donna --duh duh but still take practice and an silly point but if possible take blunt pencil tips 4 the eax because sharp pointed can sometimes tera ur OMR or a blunt one shades ur bubble faster!!1
Moreover i hav seen that a shorter pencil helps a lot -- some physics involved par itna nhain chatunga!!!!!
Anywayz post ur doubts--atleast can talk abt clearing CAT n getting calls
No query invited abt GD/PI --pana to nahin hua phir gyan kyun batoon?? --uskeliye bahuty fundu public hai!!!
Chalo bye 4 now

Hi friends!
This is really a very helpful threads for the beginners as well as for those who are giving CAT another shot. I completely agree that this time RC is really that has to be taken care of & regular reading the articles really helps. I realized its importance when I gave CAT this time.
