HI Friends

It seems everybody is busy sharing there experience on the thread.??lots of questions have been asked. Those students who have got below 60 % in graduation are not being shortlisted in the 1st round so dont get disappointed as most probably ( i cant confirm) one more shortlist will come in which there name will be there ( u need to have more then 60%le in CAT for making into that shortlist)

as i said earlier i cant tell wat questions should be expected in interview coz its upto management to decide. But i will try to get some information in this regard.

Just wanted to know that is it possible to postpone the dates for interview.. Given that they have asked us to bring a DD of Rs. 50000 i think that the chances are dim but please confirm...

HI.. guyz..

I have a call for PI on 26th and i am asked to bring a draft for Rs. 50000/- Well i am just wondering that how can they confirm on the same day?? i mean they have called around 200 students in the first list (i am not sure, may be a little less).. Neways it will be more like first come first served criteria..

Another thing is this 50000/- DD. Now every other institute gives around 20 days for the candidates to decide whether to take it or leave it. Well this is also the mandatory time period (as fixed by AICTE) to be given to students for arranging the finances (loans etc). So again the question is that how come they force a condition like this? Is it something like they are going to compromise with merit for money.? I don't know..

Seniors please clear some air about all this..

well guys i feel that this seems to be a great institute but is not able to attract many high quality guys.. as the cuttoff is also just 60%........

it is now enforcing this system so that all those who the institute thinks to be better prospects do not take it as their safe side institute rather confirm their consent at the very beginning.... and not be able to ditch the institute later.....

i have called and confirmed about the refund rules also wherein the deposit will be refunded in full within 15 days of admissions......

I also have spoken to a lot of HR guys and old employees (Dads Friends) who are in insurance companies and they have confirmes about its placements figures.......

Moreover i was told by them that any course from NIA is very well recognised even in other countries.. it has a very decent global reputation and presence.....

Dont get intimated by seeing the condition of bringing in Rs 50,000 at the time of interview. As this money is refundable upto 15 days after anyone has submitted it.
See this college was started by LIC, GIC and Minsitry of Finance (Government of India) so at least it is not like other private B-schools which are there to make money. That 50000 is part of the fees.

Regarding the foreign tie ups which one of the student mentioned. I would like to say NIA has tie up with F.A.I.R(Federation of afro-asian insurer and reinsurer) (AFRO-ASIAN) insurance federation which is one of its kind given to any B-school. Recently it had tie up with Canada Government. This aggrement was signed with prime minister of Canada for various agrement (details will come soon). This are few of the tie ups which i have mentioned there are various other tie ups too

what is wrong in nia is doing here. i have 89.64% in cat and still i m waiting for call frm nia . and a 60%person have call. i can`t think that a goverment instt. can do partiallity like that. it is totally cheat for me and so many guys.

I know few students must be wondering that even after getting good percentile in CAT they have not been shortlisted for interview. But selection process of NIA-SoM is like that. 1st the call have been sent to students who have got good percentile in CAT as well they should have got more then 60 % in graduation.

Most probably a second list may come soon for those students who have got below 60 % in graduation. So dont loose hope.

Hi Deepak..

I have a querry.. I wont be able to participate in the first round of interview (i have been shortlisted). Is it possible that they will include my name in the second round of interview? I already wrote two emails to Miss Sandhya Deshpande but didn't got any reply..
