There is good news for all the CAT Applicants who have got over 70%le.

All the students getting above 70%le in CAT should be called for GD/PI process at NIASoM Pune. Last date to apply is 31st Jan 2007

is only mba in insurance offered in the institute? can the seniors pls guide abt the course content. are financial planning, risk analysis/management also taught? also can any comparison be shown between the curriculum of nia som and other institutes offering mba in insurance?

i couldnt find any links in the website for course content.

Ours is a Dual Specialization programme. So every one will be opting one specialization in ( Marketing/Finance/HR/Information Technology) and other specialization in (Life Insurance / General Insurance).

If you are opting Finance as one of your specialization, yes, you will learn Financial planning, Financial Risk Management in second year.

Currently we dont have any comparision done with any other institutes. But definitely i can say, our is the best and we have very good faculty for finance.

Hello Friends, The MBA batch of 2006-08 of NIA SoM is going to Malaysia for a study tour in April 2007 as part of the course structure. This foreign tour help them in getting exposure of foreign market. One student from final year has also got an overseas placement offer from a Dubai firm to go with the other offers in hand.

NIA SoM will accept MBA application form maximum for a day or two more then the last date which is 31st JANUARY 2007 provided the bank draft is made on or before 31st January. So hurry up.

As far as I know all students would be apppearing for both GD and PI.
There would be a cummulative score of both before deciding the selection.

You may expect very common GD and INterview related to your subject at college and current afffairs.
