I received the following email from SpJain on 1st March



Dear DADDIKAR SAGAR K ,

This is to inform you that your personal interview for admission to our Post-Graduate Programme in Management is been scheduled on 14th March, 2003 11:00 hrs.

There will be two rounds of interviews. Every candidate will have a preliminary round of interview. Those short-listed from the first round will have another round of interview and a managerial aptitude test.

Interview Venue : S P Jain Institute of Management & Research

Would guys having their interviews on the same day (14th March ) let their voices be heard...

Also it would be great if ppl could guide us (relative) latecomers in negotiating the interview process. Any tips regarding the sort of preparation which is required, the general profile which is considered etc. would be most helpful......

BTW... do we have to fill up some form and post it back to the institute..

hey frens do u have n e idea , when do the SPJ ppl come out with their final list...

i think for ppl who hav gone thru their intvs the fate for them must hav been decided by now....

ne way do the cutoff for spj remains lower than mdi.. eg in mdi ppl with percentile >=97 have got the calls.... can n e 1 like me with 96 percentile stand a chance in spj... (leave other factors for the time being).. i m having workex for 1.5 yrs (as mentioned) but now 2 yrs.... i hav a degree from iit.....working in a well known comapny....

dear arcade,
ur assumption is not true. coz i have got a call from mdi. my percentile is 96.49.
im from a far lesser engg college than u and im a fresher.

even i wanted to know abt the spjain calls. but im pretty sure i wont coz of my low academics 60.3% for engg.

Hi guys, any idea what kind of scores SP Jain would be looking for for people who have work ex? I have 7 years work ex in the IT industry and have opted for their Info Mgmt programme. Had already gone thru their interview process at Mumbai last month and had done quite well in the interview. However, my CAT scores rank me in the 77.96th percentile..... so am wondering if people who have had such below average CAT scores made it into SP Jain based on their work ex and their marketibility for SPJain's placement process two years down the line.

hi fellas,

ive done BE ( electronics ) from vjti ( 1999 ) and workin for the past 3.5 years in tcs...... out of which 1.5 were spent in the nortel networks tech lab on digital meridian switches..... and the remaining 2 in general tcs....

acads are ok .... 65% average.... extra curriculars are also good.... debating .. quizzing etc....

cat percentile is pretty low.... 87% ... the non omr essay form was pretty simple.. no extravagant stuff.. just plain easy english.....

can guys who are already thru with their interviews please put up their experiences so that we may benefit...
