but apart from the job responsibility answer that was there in the form, they didnot ask me even a single work ex related question. Same happened for the other work ex person with 3+ yrs work in my GI's.

U r right abt that ...they did'nt ask me one thing about my job , only about hobbies and intrests but i think that was due to the fact that we already had a answer written in the form ... and anyway we know more abt our job then them ...
But i hope the job responsibility counts ...
Anyway any new news of when the results are coming out !!!!

i too observed the same .... many work-ex guys on the I-day were not questioned abt their work ..... same thing for me .... in my case, they asked me a few questions in R1 .... but that was it ....

btw, i have a feeling that the results would be declared this week .... i'll go for 10th March ....
"there's nothing official about it" ... its just my gut feeling .....

but than how wud they know how true is that answer....because i have personally seen people with just about 2 yrs work ex saying that they are a team lead in their company...now i don't think that any big company would make a person with just 2 yrs work ex a team lead.....so how they going to catch such cases...and also they cannot hard and fast decide that the person is lying because some small companies can make u a team lead with such exp.

You r right abt that ... but big companies don't make u team leads in 2 yrs ..they will know that from previous experiences ... Anyway what i think is its futile trying to decipher what those people are thinking ... lets just wait for 10 march ... then we all will find out ..BEST OF LUCK TO ALL PGITES !!!!

Well, i myself has 2.5 yr exp & am leading a team of 4 for the past one yr in a BIG IT comp [i hope 10,000+ employee comp is a big enuf comp ] & i have written the same in my form. The GI-1 panel did ask me few Qs abt my JOB & the type of work i do (& i covered it nicely). I hope if ur not a lead u won't know many IT processes that are followed in IT companies. To name a few, a team member won't know the yearly revenues from the project, the per person rates charged, what are SLAs of the project, wht are the various Quality measures, etc...

Moreover, i feel it does not matter whether ur a lead or not until n unless u can convince them tht u r a lead & also know what being a lead means. What matters more is are u aware wht a lead is supposed to do & the probable challenges/brickbats (there was a Q on this in the form) that a lead has to face.

i'm just worried abt my GI-2 ... they asked me only 2 Qs in GI2...
1. Mr Brigadier: Talk abt the answer u have written abt work n values... i messed it up saying 'do u mean the work i do with an NGO'... he said Yes.. & than no more Qs till the end of interview..[in retrsospect i feel luck bcoz the army man kept nodding his head without asking any further Qs ]
2. Prof Mohan: Given a wish, what wud wud it be... Me: Blah Blah Blah [the answer i have written for Q2]

Thts it...

lets c...

Talking Another post-mortem - 07-03-2005, 12:51 PM

Okay, I somehow managed to refrain from posting yesterday

Do you people remember if there was a student in ur GI panel? And the brigadier in GI2?I didn't have the brigadier or any student in either of the GI panels? Now I hope that isn't some kind of disadvantage .. also does anyone have any idea why there were two interview lists? I know this is kinda late to ask, but does being in the first list provide any kind of advantage? I don't know .. with every passing day I come up with newer conspiracy theories

I think a couple of ppl who got out in the 1st round got some communication from SPJ regarding their Dubai b-school. Those posts are present "somewhere" in this thread
