Well Kanishka,

4 mktg, 2 OR - finally SP chooses 1 mktg & 1 OR for GI2... (try to rate urself & decide tht if they have to choose only 1 mktg person, were u the one??)

neway, I don't know exactly (& cud not figure out after reading ur post) why they did not find u fit for SP but all i cud say is that "Whatever happens, happens for the best", believe in urself & keep trying till u get it.

& in case u still feel that SP is a college worth applying one more time, try to know more abt SP (in mkt parlance "Know ur Customer" ... They definitley like u thats why they r callin u again n again). In case i make it to SP this yr, i'll surely share my exp n insight with u...

Thats real bad luck Kanishka. But then from ur experience and co-ordinator's response all i can make out is..... its sheer luck.

One thing m experiencing is, the rejection rate has significantly increased now then earlier sessions (initial few interview dates)... Earlier ppal used to post that only one guy or may be 2 from their pool were rejected... But now its the other way round.. one or 2 get selected and rest.... back to pavilion.

I think it could be that ur experience was less as compared to others opting for marketening which has played the fowl.... Never mind lets keep fighting.. Who knows when u try next yr u will land up in IIMs.

HERE IS WHAT I TERM AS THE POTATO THEORY !!..
( coined by yours truly after the interview sessions.. ).

When you go to buy potatos.. from the huge sack of potatoes at the grocer.. u hv no particular liking or dislike towards the potatoes.. all that you see is.. if the potato has any obvious flaw like a rot.. or buds etc.. otherwise...
they are all the same.. and u on your part pick up a kg potatoes.. leaving the rest behin in the grocer shop.. for others to pick up..
the same can be applied to most interview sessions.. you never know why u got picked up.. or left behind !..

so keep the faith.. all of us.. will hopefully.. be part of somebody "dum alu" or " alu fry ".. eventually !!.. just make sure to not develope any obvious rot or bud !!!..

hi all, mine is this sunday..and after reading Kanishka's gi exp, 'm scared witless..I'm a fresher and havent read kotler...just a few terms on maketing.. cant believe he explained so much and still they didnt pick him..bad luck

Anyway..I need a help... I have the essay form with me..can anyone tell me what else was on the first 2 pages of the non-omr form..Please really need it..

Sheet 3: Achievements ( acads/ work/ others) + strengths.
Sheet 4: where did u hear abt sp + what other colleges + do u know someone in sp
