hmmm well my 100th post and what am i going to write about....well pollkhol ur observations compelled me to write this post....

observation 1)

I Guess the IMI management is apprehensive of attracting the required number of students for final selection thats y playing safe.Is it some kind of indication that the standards of IMI r falling

more than 10,000 forms sold....and apprehensive about attracting good talent....the average cat percentile in the previous batches of around 95.....and apprehensive of attracting good students...more than 25 co.s visiting the campus for the first day of final placements...and apprehensive of attracting good students....having one of the best pool of faculties ....and apprehensive of attracting good students.....i need not say more

see when they call more students this does not mean they are apprehensive of students not coming...when you have students of 86-87 percentile u also have many atudents having more than 99+ percentile...it was a decision taken by the acads council over which students have no say...they must have a course of action in plan....and don't think gd/pi will be easy i've seen ppl with 96-97 percentile not getting a call last year....but it does not mean those with 86 won't have a chance but it will be really very tough...

and yes you asked about standards of IMI falling plz tell me why do you think about this...if the calls were the reason then i think the answers given..if anything else please post back...it's a good thing to clear everything before the prospective students before they take a final call...

also have seen ur post regarding the list out yesterday
and have seen just 1-2 ppl inquiring abt it

just wait and watch....this thread....

chillax buddy.............infact i think this yr imi has gone up a few notches... since past 2 yrs... it is standin tall among the other colleges after iimS and the sp,nitie category....
i guess u hv not applied thr.. and if u hv u surely dont wanna get into it??
so which 1 is it??

this is not to offend anyone, but i found the same 'wordings' of the IMI's results message at MBA Busters yahoo group yesterday evening. and to add on u have not included the whole message which read something like this(it changes the context):

Hi all

This is unconfirmed.... IMI's shortlist for GD/PI is out at the Institute's Notice Board.
They have yet to put it on their site www.imi.edu. No minimum cut-off is known. But Students with score above 91%ile (overall) can expect a call...there is no sectional cut-off...

do wait for the official results.

hey undertaker...itz a general thing that happens in IMI every year...the results are declared in the skools notice board first and then after a few days it comes in the website....so don't get pissed off by this...i know u must be impaitent about the result, if u want pm any of the pagals here...we'll check it for u....

about the cutting edge technology...buddy get inside the campus...become a student and then see the use of cutting edge tech in campus...and the website u are seeing is just the tip of the iceberg..but the rest of of the chill u will enjoy once u become the student..

and believe me ur point of updating is a valid point...and we will push forward this point...as itz the only section in the website which is not controlled by the students therefore we don't have much say....if it had been in our hand we would have updated in the very first day...also our terms are on..so we don't have much time to spare...neeway will have a talk with the admin dept. asap...and push the updation point through...
