Lowest percentile in CAT

mine was 53 percentile i guess it was a really bad day for me man ..
really bad man ...... any one below me or i am in the lowest in the forum ..
by the way i know some one ( saw the score card) ZERO percentage score in maths over all percentile ........95.6

Hey no....actually i was expecting someone to start this kinda thread....I would like to know if there are people who get ZERO %iles.....not that I expect them to admit it.....but I think peoples views on this might get us a better insight to the scoring/ranking process of the IIMs.

No purple yogi, i dont think u r the lowest....I saw some percentile in the 40s in some other threads....and even one in the 30s i think....

Does it go lower than that?? If people get 100%iles, do people also get 0%iles??

This is one thread I can contribute to!!

I saw a kid with 4.75 percentile .. 2 sections, the %age score was printed as "ZERO" ..

A welcome break from the regular 99s we get to see over here

Whoa......then I am sure there are people lower than that who might touch 0....people who fill up the numbers for the 1+ lac who take up CAT each year.......IIMs are doing good biznez here huh

Hey i know a chick who attempted cat like the board exam

had 50 attempts in DI and 12 in QA then attempted the rest of questions at random

she managed

75 something %ile in DI
18 something %ile in QA
and...

3 something %ile in VA
with ZERO written in scorecard but im sure she managed negative marks.

100%ile simply means that a person is the highest scorer among others... so the person with the lowest score should theoretically ve zero percentile. However if too many ppl tie up at that score(the lowest score) then a zero %ile may cease to exist

Didnt wanna start a totally new thread... though the point I hereby make is a li'l off-track...

Saw a person's percentage scores on the relevant thread - which translated into a net score of 16.00 (assuming TIME score calculations 2 b rite)... and s/he had a overall percentile of 56.xx!

This comes as a shocker... as it means, not even half the CAT-taking junta managed to cross a net score of 16

And a score of 29.67(as per TIME) maps to an overall %ile of around 85 which means out of the 1.6 lac CAT taking Junta only around 24K have managed to cross 30 marks.
