The best way to go for people with multiple calls is to treat each interview as if thats the only one u have got.........Then u will give it ur best shot....If u think "oh, never mind, i have many more comin up", then u r inviting trouble for urself...........

Secondly, its a big misconception that top IIMs have a tougher GD/PI than the lower rung IIMs...........CRAP !!! Each IIM has its own merit...........From our point of view. each interview is the only one we have got...........

So have this attitude and try to do ur best in every interview.........Only then can u realistically think of converting some of them !!!

Right said. A person with a BLACKI has a probability of 1/32 of converting all.

That's a thin chance, so get over the ratio thing you have received the call and now you have to treat them mutually exclusive of each other. Give your best for each one

well thats interesting analysis going on ..

but i think that a person with BLACKI has got 1 in 64 chance of converting the all the six ....

but also another way of looking at it ... may b more relevant would b that he also has 1 in 64 chance of missing out of any iim ...

so chillax and stsrt preparing

Very well said. Last year, I had really chill interviews with B&C but L&I had big-time stress interviews. Also, another misconception is that it is easier to get a call from a "lower rung" IIM than a top 3 IIM. (Just look at the no of "Oh i got a B call, how did i not get a L,I,K call"). That also is absolute nonsense. All IIM's give out nearly the same no of calls (varying from 1000-1300 odd) and each IIM has its own selection criteria, so it is impossible to contend that a call from a top3 IIM implies many more calls from the "lower rung" IIM's. (In fact, look at the no of single calls that B gave out, both this year and last year).

It's 1/64 and that makes things look even more daunting but the bottomline is focus on each call-convert equation and prepare a standalone analysis (esp for those with BLACKI) and then chart out your course of action.
