I am really shocked with the CAT result......

These are my scores according to the TIME key:

Section 1: DI/DS
Part A : Attempted 18..Right 15...Wrong 5
Part B : Attempted 4 right 3 wrong 3

Section 2 : QA
Part A : Attempted 8..Right 7...Wrong 1
Part B : Attempted 9 right 7 wrong 2

Section 3 : VA
Part A : Attempted 10..Right 8...Wrong 2(half marks each)
Part A : Attempted 20..Right 15...Wrong 5
Part B : Attempted 4 right 3 wrong 1


I was expecting something above 80 percentile but the actual score shows a pathetic 57 percentile.

Is anyone in the same boat?? Anybody has any explanation for this.

relax yar im also in the same boat. gettin a measly 50 percentile acc to time key everywhere i go on the forum there are ppl with 99+ percentiles..seriously it can make u feel like a loser. frankly i cant complain coz my first attempt at cat turned out to be a big big big DISASTER . was so tensed i screwed up the paper badly. anyways dont think abt that now. concentrate on other exams.. thats wat i hav done. forgotten abt cat and thankfully done other papers well..

Yeah dont worry.....me too gave my CATs the first time....got 88....pretty good considering the preps and effort I put in ......although I am surprised that your %ile differs from the CAT key...

I think it was Nisha only who posted a link saying that TIME key was the most accurate, although I dont remember if it was TIME's own website

Correct me if i am wrong Nisha......

nope barri!! all i said was that acc to time website a guy called keerti pendyal had topped with 100 percentile..104.x marks or sumthin. i dint mention the accuracy of time key.

according to TIME ans key i was supposed to get 32(tht is arud 85 %ile in thsi paper,) and i checked my result it shows 46 %ile!!!

tht means i score 13!!!!!!! how is it possible...i was despondent with 32 how the hell can i get 13!!! i dont understand!!!

I am beginning to believe more and more that this "accuracy of the TIME key" thing was an overstatment and must have been posted on their own website for publicity....tsk tsk.....

32 or 13 dude, chances are gone....people in the 40s also cant have much hope......so chill out....theres always a next time
