Pgdbm V/s Mms

1 . KJSOM offers PGPMS(accepting CATscore) as well as MMS (accepting CET score)courses

2. Welingkar offers PGDBM( CAT ) as well as MMS ( CET ) courses

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the 2 courses? Which one
is better? Which course has better placements?

well i'm currently doing the PGDBM course from KJ so can tell u first hand not much of a diff here.
its all bout the degree u get MMS is recognised by the mumbai univ PGDBA is an autonomus course.thus now they have made it a tri smemister program which is really good... plus u can play around with subjects that u want and dont want.... where as mms u go according to the univ rules.... placements too are on a common ground so u need not worry...

Is there a KJ som guy who can tell me whats there placement scene been in the year 2005
The magzine business today mentions 3.75(2005) as avg sal.Is it true? has KJ somaiaya detoriated? from their last years performance of 4.26 as avg sal(2004)
plzz throw some light on this
]2nd which spelization is KJ somaiya good for ?How is systems in Kj
is systems better in welingkar?
Is welingkar over shadowing KJ name over the years
Or is it only for time being
plzz do reply

well robin, i am from welingkar and i think can vouch for what meher has said on the difference between PG and MMS courses. The advantage that you get 'coz the PG course has a more updated syllabus is that you find the going easier as compared to an MMS person when you start working, its not much but still a decent advantage.

If i go for a MMS degree instead of a PG degree will that be a
problem considering placement.....

I had a feeling that MMS would be better as it is a degree unlike
the other which is a diploma programme.......

PLease ADVISE WHICH IS BETTER TO BE SELECTED....................
