Actually i got 99.73% last year with 5 IIM calls and one final call from IIM. Now the irony is this that had to leave it due to some personal reasons. Thought of doing it this time but unluckily my health did me in.Took CAT in fever and so m too short of any IIM call infact even from SPJAIN etc....Now i hope u can guess my condition...was regular 99%ler in MOCK cats....
But i do want to bring one point ...I cud have joined IIM last year and wud have been from IIM..now this year i cant claim that...now the question to ponder upon is this that has this one year made me any less fit/worthy for IIM? Infact due to one year work ex i have gained immensely in terms on knowledge...So M i worse than last year ?????I have degraded in one year. Or m better off....but since m not getting any IIM call i think i m worse off....So....resting it on just one day is a big big fault.Anyone can have a bad day.Infact in this case GMAT is much better as one can take it again if someone has a bad day.
But this brings me to conclusion that all those guys sitting in SPJ, XLRI are in no way less than those in IIMs....M the EXAMPLE...i may make it to XLRI or SPJ this year or may not....
Hope u people have got my point and hope to receive ur viewpoints...
Dear Teesra Banda
I can understand your situation. Here is my little piece of advice.
LIFE NEVER ENDS, IT GOES ON.
The only thing that u can do is just giv ur best shot for everything that u do and dont worry about the result, that's all what u can do. Be ready for the worst and always think about what to do next for coming out of that situation.
Now as of your case, i sincerely suggest that u remove all those stains from your memory, look forward for XLRI/SPJ, Giv your best shot. U never know that at a stage of your life u think that " Hadn't i left my IIM call, i would have never got this milestone." My point is that what u are regreting today u may appreciate tomorrow.
JUST BE POSITIVE, GIVE UR BEST HIT TO WHAT U HAV IN UR HAND.
BEST OF LUCK DUDE.

CATIKON, nice words but also shows that you didnt read any of the posts in this 4page long thread
the biggest advantage( and probably{arguably} the only) of getting into iim is that u can tell others that u have been to an iim.(same applies to harvard etc.)
what u learn and what u apply depends on what u do and not on which bschool u go to!
