well definitely an old thread..but well jus wanted to passin my views too...
durin my college days i had a senior who was really bad at his theoretical exams but used to crack all the aptitude exams of all the companies visitng our campus...well he manged a score in the nineties in CAT...
i have a roomie who never ever touches his books,wud prefer dreaming and lazing to actually doin nethng worthwhile....give him a problem and he will not knw the solution...BUT GIVE HIM THE OPTIONS and he will def give the answer..

A lot of ppl are excellent in cracking objective type exams..many aint(unfortunately i fall in dis)..
its simple..i find it very difficult to drive..wherein even kids can easily do dat,,its an inborn talent...
some are gifted ..some hone it...the gifted ones hone it even better and thn manage to crack CAT....
and luck..dis is definitely a much needed factor!!!!
