We should award you something for the wackiest spellings

Er... as a maderator I can say.. err.. yep.. business work ex is considered. But be ready to explain your situation well and in depth

Business questions should be simple to answer as you should have quite a lot of knowledge even if you have worked there for a while.

Hi Chetan,
As long as you worked full time in your business (not after college or something like that) your business experience would be considered. I am sure you would be in an advantageous position compared to many other candidates when you apply again next year.

But be prepared to answer questions like :-

1) Why are you leaving the business now to pursue the course?
2) Won't your absence affect your dad since he would have to hire someone in your place and then keep tabs on the new guy?
3) Why aren't you going for the Entrepreneurship program if you have applied to TAPMI (they have a program for Entrepreneurship Management)?
4) How will the MBA help you since you already know how to run a business (this is much easier to answer but be careful while framing your answers)?

These are the questions i can think of currently. I am sure there will be many more. I hope this helps.

Regards,
Manu

Ahh.. designation is "Head Surfer" . Although I have to admit, they can grill me well.. but then hell I'd love that . Having run Neutral Web for quite a while now and making a profit outta a dotcom.. they should gimme an award for proving the E-Bust wrong

Designation mey kya rakha hai.. I can create a couple new ones for myself

If you have a brick and mortar setup, then you can jump start your net venture pretty much anytime. No legalities involved in selling online. YET . Now it depends on the kind of business you might be interested in going in for. As a front end for product sales, it implies you already have a business which sells those products. In such a case, you can simply get a domain based on your business name. Host it and get online soon.

My 2 Paise - 19-03-2003, 09:22 PM

Hi,

Just saw this topic and decided to stick my 2paise.

Be prepared as follows
1) Proprietorship / Partnership - Get bank statement / It returns.
2) Pvt Ltd - Certificate of Inc, List of directors(obviously with you as one) and turnover info certified by CA.
3) Letters of reference / appreciation by key clients (begin collecting this ASAP)
4) Prepare a list of your clients and bring that with you on letterhead.

That should be all you need.

Rahul
