my brother told me that one invigilator stared talking to him during she was taking signature and was asking whether paper is difficult or not ,and r able to solve it or not. RIDICULOUS indeed.

and my biggest worry is ,if invigilator come for signature while i"ll be doing RC then.........DAMN
......................THIS IS MY BIGGEST WORRY

one way is to factor such losses while taking a test....i.e. plan for such losses and acc set time limits...eg. for all such sundry losses i shave 5 mins off QA time.(coz its least scoring and doesnt affect performance much)

these 5 mins inlclude:
signature on attendance form
loss of concentration
crossing sectional time limits previously set...(ie when 40 mins are up and u spot 1-2 sitters. etc)
bajuwala asking for eraser!
staring into neighbours OMR (to see if im the only one screwed)
etc etc etc

Work hard ... Party harder

It is the moral resp of all of us to make sure that we avoid having anything heavy before the exam and also not get too tensed.

Just trying to lighten the mood of fellow PGites.

Simple solution to the farting problem.... as someone said "its the moral responsibility of everyone not to have anything heavy before the exam" similarly everyone should apply deo and scent all over the lower half of their clothes too along with the upper so that that even if u eat something heavy instead of being a hindrance it becomes a pleasant experience for fellow CAT-Takers!

Just imagine with a heavy breakfast u may not make it to the IIMs but u can be instrumental in someone else being selected for the IIMs!

On a more serious note, I would like to quote my experience last year...my center was Presidency College, Kolkata. As soon as we started on the 15th of feb, loud noises of synthesizers and octapads started coming from the second floor. They were preaparing for their annual function! It was like hell! The singular reason for me doing very badly, because it took away nearly 20 mins to tell the invigilators and silence them! It also took away my concentration! So guys please make sure that nothing of that sort is going on before the exam, at the exam center. I wonder till date how a college of presidency's stature couldn't take care of that. And what the representatives from the IIMs were doing? They don't know but a few students of that college ruined a year of atleast a few 100 guys and gals that day!

Hey people,

One of my friends had this problem during his CAT last year. As cell phones arent allowed into the classrooms, everyone with cell phones was asked to keep thm in one corner of the class or outside or on a desk ... !! While most of the invigilators are smart enough to ask them to switch off their phones before keeping it on the desk, some of them dont even ask them to put it on silent mode.

The result. Midway thru the exam someone was trying to reach one of the guys whose cell was not switched off. It kept ringing ... went on and on... with some "chayya chayya" ring tone. The worst part nobody owned up during the exam. So the rings kept coming. it cant get worse guys !!

So b4 the exam starts, make sure that the invigilator has switched off all cell phones. Some of them may be negligent.

Jeeves.

Ya know what every worrier needs ? Sem 7 exams. Started today. 4 more to come, all after the CAT.. two monsters waiting to devour me when I return from the centre.

Guess what I'll be doing Saturday evening ? Yep... studin for the frikkin xams. In a way I like it ... no idle mind to worry about things.

Shatadipsom... the noise situation is scary ... it really kills the performance .. no kiddin. SO you guys started late kya ? WHat about them 20 minutes ?

Vish
