HTH,
Arun | Me haven't tried a digital watch in previous CATs.
Fact: The invigilator is a third party and such trivial things depend on him.
Prolly, he had a fight with his wife that morning or car was puctured etc and he will find 101 things that are wrong around him.
So ur digi watch could be one with a calculator and you may have a hard time proving that it is jus the 50 rs wala road side watch and not a one with a multitude of features..
Play safe... An instance was cited by TIME Trivandrum- In 2002 Cat , an invigilator in Kozhikode asked a guy not to use a digital watch....things of such types are there..
So Play Safe!!!

Priya |
When it comes to taking risks this is one risk I would never ever take. Simply because u r playing into their hands. why do you want to take such a risk....what difference will it make....infact in such exams i think using a calc or trying to cheat will lead to more wastage of time.
so my advice is forget all such things and concentrate on exam. | Buddy I have absolutely no intention of using calculators. I wudnt even dare take the risk of digital watch. I just hope there is strict vigilance in CAT so that no one can escape cheating.
Priya Though we cant retrace our steps, however stands the SCORE...
Tomorrow brings another chance, for us to try once more... | | | | | | | |

Priya | Hey priya! Do you really think it can be advantageous to anyone who uses calculator on d-day. I dont think so. Solving the problem will be a much better solution I believe because the time spent on typing out numbers on a calculator is considerable esp if the calculator is on the watch. Problems in CAT are of the type in which solving mentally can be done in just as much time. So dont let such thoughts run thro' your mind as d-day approaches. Jus relax and do well on d-day.
Cheers

I reckon take both watches. Before the exam just go up to the invigilator and show the digital one and ask if its okay. Volunteer information by mentioning it doesnt contain databank and calculator but is just a normal stopwatch.
Still better you could go to a sportstore and get these cheap stopwatches used in atheletic events. They are around 100bucks and you get it on a string which you can actually put on your neck.
Just suggestions.
