Meta Improvements( improve from 0% to 100% in not only CAT but in Life aswell)

Normally u need basic abilities to improve application abilities. For eg. Basic ability( sorry for not having right term for it) like intelligence is required for doing many other task. These task are application oriented.For eg. how to smooth drive a car, smooth talk, crack CAT, romancing etc.
The better is your intelligence( basic) the better is your ability to drive car,smooth talk etc( application)

Please try to get essence of what i said. Dont get into the literal meaning of what is written since chances are you will misunderstand what is implied due to imperfect terms used.( i know what i mean but dont know exactly what these terms are called)

Now, the meta abilites like ability to
a) improve intelligence
b) improve maturity level
c) improve metacognition etc
are crucial but often ignored. I am a philosopher when at leisure otherwise a software professional at work.

Let us share over this imp issue.

how serious a philosopher are you?have you read any of emmanual Kant/socrates/plato/aristotle's work? Critique of reason. judgement etc?The best part about philisophy is that you can read the same piece of work n number of times and each time it gives you a different perspective of things akin to the vicissitudes of life.
CAT might be something related to commonsense but the problem is most of the times 'Commonsense is so uncommon' thats what makes CAT difficult I guess

Take it as a feedback Vishal. I don't know what you are getting at.

Not specific to this post, something I have mentioned a lot many times on the forum. Communication is not using the "right terms" (something you have mentioned 3times). But its about conveying what you mean. Which didn't happen. You were so caught up in the fact that you didn't get the "right terms" that you ended up doing a lousy job "communicating". Get the picture ?

I have seen many threads which start off with vague topics and ambiguos questions. Some thumb-rules :

(a) Give them your back ground. Say that over the last AIMCATs you have been getting 67, 45 and 54 percentiles in verbal.

(b) Be quantifiable in asking. As in above example.

(c) Use simple words and try to get to the point ASAP.

I am a philosopher when at leisure sums up as answer to your question on seriousness. It is not a matter of seriousness but a matter of passion for me. I enjoy thinking. Earlier i used to think and forget. Recently i started putting my thoughts in writing.

I havent read work of socrates,palto etc other than what comes in RCs of MockCAT and i enjoy them. Yea i plan to read.

I believe in having my views on a particular subject and then reading works of socrates , plato etc on the same subject. This way i can counter question their thinking with mine.

so could u point out where to start for a particular subject.?

I think you took a wrong example to explain. May be this is because you didnt get what i intend to say. so here I say it again

What is that makes one best? How does one acquire that? For eg.
if i ask you What is that leads to success?
you answer: hardwork , dedication etc

what is that leads to hardwork, dedication ?
you ans: something1

what is that leads to something1?
you ans: something2

this goes on till you answer "i dont know" or u answer at meta level

At this point my philosopy begins!

If u havent still got what i mean , we can meet over chat and i can make it absolutely clear what i mean. Yea CAT is imp and has relation to this topic but at broader level only unlike many other vague threads which have strong links with CAT prep or cutoff or strategy or other gross form of application activity.

Are u getting bored/confused? probably philosophy is boring/confusing for many

The point wasn't philosophy or CAT or anything. I was just saying that sometimes while explaining we grope for those "exact terms" to describe things that we miss out on using simple language to do the same.

Anyways, I guess post-CAT talk. Also, I thought philosophy was on different lines. Yeh sab baatein toh 4peg maarne ke baad aadmi aapne aap bolne lagta hai :P
